Don't forget to place warm damp towells on the breasts before feeding, that makes the milk flow easier.

I think after the delivery ( in States) nurses actually help you out in your first time feeding the baby. My fren’s sister gave a birth first time, she learned how to feed her baby in hospital, taught by assigned nurse.

Snickers its good thinking to feed your baby ,there are so many sites where u get knowledge on breastfeeding,http://www.lalecheleague.org/bfinfo.html is one of them here u can find answers for your all questions,its a little difficult to start breastfeding but its good for your health and for islamic point of view too,and this i have experienced that the kids on breastfeeding can overcome on virul infections easliy than baby on formula milk.and they are more active than baby on formula milk.

Yes formula milk is a dangerous thing for the baby. Affects come in the long run.

:k: yes, it causes a lot of allergies…that’s why there are more and more allergies, especially food allergy in children.
statistics also show that bottle fed children have more risk of becoming obese.
fianlly breastfeeding reduce the risk of getting breast cancer, and favor weight loss afterwards…so it’s good also for the mommy:blush:

Aahmed.. your response is so childish.. theres nothing wrong with a bit of modesty.. sharam.. haya..however old fashioned.. its an old charm that needs preserving.. yes everyone knows what gets u pregnant.. and holding a dupatta over ur huge belly in front of your father/brothers doesnt mean your embarrassed over being pregnant or being ungrateful to allah for getting u pregnant in the first place. Grow UP!
