Actually i should be happy that my belly is finally growing and showing but it’s embarrassing at the same time! Living in a joint family with 6 more grownups around, including men also… it’s hard to move around without feeling very shy about the new figure.
I do cover my tummy with a dupatta but things are visible now 
I hope that the baby comes soon and will be perfectly alright, healthy and complete amin.

Why are pakistani women embarrassed about being pregnant? To be embarrassed by it is acknowledging that you are ashamed or that you did something wrong. Are you embarrassed when you get married? Are you embarrassed when you do well on exams? Then why be embarrassed when you're pregnant? Do you know how many people have problems getting pregnant? You got pregnant with hopefully no complications and you're embarrassed? Maybe you're embarrassed because being pregnant means that you had sex... OH NO!!! A married woman had sex with her husband, don't tell anyone.
It's childish and in my opinion cheap that we have this kind of attitude towards such a miraculous process. The Quran repeatedly talks about reproduction. When you read these verses about reproduction, are you embarrassed reading the Quran?
Snickers, this is not a personal attack on you, just on the general attitude that pakistani folk have with reproduction.

I am embarrassed by reading your post.. just kidding yaar.. i agree with you.. its not just girls are embarrassed of this stuff, I know guys who won’t tell you that they are expecting a baby .. its more of a quietly go through 9 months and i will tell my friends once the baby is born..
i guess its more of a culture thing..

Does it make me ABCD to have not been embarrassed of my tummy or to have not hidden it? I wore regular clothes up to 8 months of the pregnancy. Yoga pants, elastic waisted pants and long shirts/kurtas.

There should be no reason to feel self-conscious. You are a pregnant soon-to-be-mom. Bulging tummies comes with the job description.
Wear loose clothes if it makes you feel comfortable, but I doubt men in your own family are eyeing your oh-so-hot tummy and sagging boobs.

If it were supposed to be a secret- allah wouldnt give women an obvious pregnant belly, it would be hidden :)
