Recently I have had this fear of being buried alive. My question is, how likely is it from someone to wake up after dying? In our religion we are supposed to bury the body as soon as possible, so what if the person is in a short coma of some sort, or wakes up in the coffin? Is this possible? I have also read stories that claim to be true about people waking up in coffins.

this reminds of a (myth?? urban legend???) … of some scientists trying to figure out life after death and what goes on in the grave. putting sensitive equipment in their to detect any sound or visuals. and apparently all the equipment ended up getting broken, or they just blew up. and then everybody went all about how you must nto try to investigate into what isnt permissible to your knowledge in this world, i.e. the hereafter … lalalalla .. 
… anyways …
yeah … would be creepy … but not as creepy as being actually, consciously buried alive as they frikin do in tribals areas) pakistan too .. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .. bring me the blood of those who practice such ****ed up traditions!

well. if ur in a coma....u'd receive little oxygen, so u cant really wake up like a yr months later? and so many other factors come into play. u might decompose etc..
and the chances of u waking up right after they bury you are...i hope minimal?

put it in your will that you'd like your pinky toe chopped off before burial. that should wake you up if you are just napping, and your folks thought you kicked the bucket.

I heard that if you die of electric shock then there is a good chance that you might survive once your body will neutralize with earth . Btw coffins are not used while burying . It will be just soil .

yeh namaan is right, but it depends on the capacitance of your body (which determines how much charge you store up). which in turn depends on your body fat percentage. you sound like you could store a ton of charge, but i could be mistaken. if i were you, i'd start wearing steel-toed shoes just to be sure you are always grounded.

In this day and age of medical advancement, I doubt if you can be buried alive.
My fears of death are by drowning and death by falling from high place (like airplane in the mid exploding with me in it)
