if the temptation is that strong then a quick shower and a nap can refresh a person right? plus what does the couple usually do the day after the suhaag raat, nothing right, so a quick nap, shower, brush and off to make sweet love…see if that works for you and your pretty dulhan and report back to us whether it worked after after

and what do they do next day? This is what they do. Larkee goes back to her house (larkay walay bring her back during breakfast time) and she spends rest of the days till Valima day, with her family (usually there is a one day gap between shadi and valima).

In fact I am glad that you brought this aspect up because the whole philosophy behind girl coming back to her home next morning is to give her a break from the sexual stress she probably went through last night (virginity loss, hymen breakup and such). That just gives another indication that our legacy protocols of wedding (larkee walay setting the date, and larkee going back home next day) designed around the belief that consummation is going to happen.

I agree to some extent. I am sure they are excited about getting to know each other so even if they are dead tired, they may go for it. But that still does not justify the 12-14 hours hour wedding rituals, starting from bridal make up
