Beckham Family Outing

Re: Beckham Family Outing

GtG...You got a travel system...??!?!?!?

Re: Beckham Family Outing

Okay probably not a brand new car but it'd be in good condition. lol

Re: Beckham Family Outing

^no not even in good condition.. seriously, I cant see a car for 2k where I live.. we were looking for a used car last year and even the 5k ones had either too much mileage or accidental history.. who would wnat that!!

anyway, it's totally offtopic so lets not discuss that :-)

chipsy.. yep watch out for my entry in the blog :D

Re: Beckham Family Outing

here you go.
[Used Cars for sale | Find second hand cars | MOTORS

i know it’s off topic but j](Used Cars for sale | Find second hand cars | MOTORS)ust to prove that i wasn’t lying.

Re: Beckham Family Outing

^ lol i don't think she thought you were lying but 2k for a car = something you probably wouldn't want to drive. like gtg said, its probably not in the best condition for that price. besides you could apply that "cheaper is better" argument to a lot of things, like used clothes from goodwill vs. new clothes from the mall. alhamdulillah Allah has given us enough that we don't need to go that route unless we choose to, and even then, i don't know anyone who chooses to. so why would you choose to buy a cheaper, less well-made stroller or an older car?

also, like khawa said, you don't need the accessories, and if you want to, you can always buy ones from brands like jolly jumper and safety 1st instead of the accessories off the stroller brand which are often priced higher. i did that and my stroller cup holder was $25 and the rain shield was $15.

gtg, check that link... its not going anywhere to a stroller? and updated blog please! i want to know which one you bought!

Re: Beckham Family Outing

except $800 is a LOT of money over here to spend on a stroller. its all relative :)

the uppababy vista and the bugaboo cameleon are the most popular brands in toronto- at least in the downtown/midtown areas i live/work in. i see some qinny buzz strollers on occasion but hardly any phil and ted's.

Re: Beckham Family Outing

sgc,, the link works for me, but oh well I was talking about bugaboo cameleon with the bassinet!! they are sooo adorable!

we ended up with the chicoo key fit 30.. I still dont like the stroller part of it..lets see what happens!!

Re: Beckham Family Outing

Love the cameleon!! It's so compact and sleek! I really want it but the two step folding really puts me off. Plus it snows where I live so the last thing I want to do is to have to take the seat off before folding the stroller while I am standing in the cold!

I can't decide on a stroller either. Everything looks so bulky. I am debating between the Uppababy, Bugaboo Bee and the Baby Jogger City Select these days. I want something really light!

I think it's important to invest in a good stroller because they can be used for the next baby!

Re: Beckham Family Outing

^the uppa and the britax b-ready both have rumble seat options too in case your first kid still rides in a stroller when second one comes along.

the bee is the lightest of your three, i believe, but its a different stroller class than the other two so you can't really compare- the other two are full size, the bee is a compact. i heart the bee too. it is ridiculously adorable.

so many people swear by the city select- i was thisclose to buying it before i got the sola.

the cameleon is $1100 here :(

Re: Beckham Family Outing

Hai rabba. When I had my first, relatives gifted us a travel system that cost around $150-$200. That is all I had and then baby 2 used it as well. It was great. No complaints. I didn’t like the print but oh well. :hehe:

If now I have a baby, I’ll go for a fancier one :snooty:

Re: Beckham Family Outing

Wow the cameleon is ridiculously expensive in Canada! You can easily get it for around $880 here. The seat on the cameleon looks so comfy but I can't stand the fact that you have to take the seat off before folding it. That is a total deal breaker for me.

I don't like the rumble seat on the Uppababy :(...the poor toddler has to sit facing the back of the Vista which I am sure can be frustrating for an active toddler.

For now, I've decided to go with the Bee and the Graco Snugride since it is compatible with the Bee. I am going to use the car seat adapter when the baby is small and then just stick to the Bee later on. Right now, this combination seems perfect for my needs. Watch me change my mind tomorrow!

Re: Beckham Family Outing

aww

hope TLK is reading this. :hehe:

Re: Beckham Family Outing

THEY'RE SO CUTE! THE WHOLE LOT

Re: Beckham Family Outing

then you should absolutely check out the britax b-ready when you change your mind tomorrow ;)
that thing has seats that can be configured 14 different ways if you want to use it in double seat mode.
you're getting the bee! i LOVES me the bee! what colour are you getting? i had my heart set on the yellow but the blue is also gorgeous. and the missoni package! you have to get the missoni package! :) watch me live vicariously through you!
i opted against the bee because i wasn't sure how the smaller wheels would do in a canadian winter- i needed bigger wheels. but if we ever have an extra $700 lying around, you know what i'm spending it on as a second stroller! ;)
