Beckham Family Outing

Re: Beckham Family Outing

^totally digging it.. its so sophisticated too!! and man she is thin already!!! sighhh

Re: Beckham Family Outing

^ yeah but she’s a reed all the time, so meh. curves are better :snooty:

iCandy are awesome strollers but so damn heavy.

Re: Beckham Family Outing

Looks like icandy copied the mura line from maxi cosi :snooty:Maxi-Cosi™ US Site | Car Seats, Strollers, Bassinets, Baby Swings

Re: Beckham Family Outing

^ that is a ridiculously cute stroller! i've never seen it before and thats saying something considering how stroller obsessed i am :p

we only have the maxi-cosi foray here... and thats not listed on their website. hrm.

Re: Beckham Family Outing

Thats the one we have for midget…too bad genie will havta deal with a blue buggy now :cb:

Re: Beckham Family Outing

Quinny Zapp is much cheaper and much lighter than Icandy. You can buy the maxicosi car seat and it will do the same.

Yup…it iz. Very smooth manuevering too…But…it can tilt over so no good for the cobbled streets of copenhagen…we looked into it and tried it out… got stuck a lot unless we were on cemented grounds… Lekin bekham aunty ke haath mein jadu hai… Smooth sailing for everything :cb:

Re: Beckham Family Outing

I had decided I was going to buy the iCandy Peach before we decided to have a baby.

We have ordered the Pea Colour and cant wait till Dec when our baby is due so I can start using it.

My only worry is would the pea colour look boyish if I have a girl?

Re: Beckham Family Outing

^why don't you get a black one then?

Re: Beckham Family Outing

They've sed at the store I can change once the baby arrives so I might consider the black and then dress it up with the foot muffs and access.

But I really like the Pea colour, saying that i've seen baby girls in the pea colour.

Re: Beckham Family Outing

Pea is a neutral color. Go for it!

Re: Beckham Family Outing

I’ve already earmarked the iCandy buggy for my future child as well inshahallah. The fact that Victoria Beckham has one is probably going to be the kiss of death for that idea now though :hehe:

Re: Beckham Family Outing

LOL see how we turned this into the stroller thread!!!

I really liked the deep purple that they have but I cant afford it!!!

Re: Beckham Family Outing

I think it's stupid to spend £1000 on a brand name and steel when you can get the similar thing within £300....I'd save up the £700 for my child's education. oh unless I'm a millionaire/billionaire like Posh.

Re: Beckham Family Outing

I don't think you need to be a millionaire to justify spending £1000 on a stroller, (incidentally, VB was given hers for free).

If you can afford it, then why not. Everyone wants the 'best' for their children.....it's just that everyone's interpretation of what is best is different.

Re: Beckham Family Outing

^lol...I don't think it has anything to do with "what is best for your kid". It's all about our own taste and aesthetics.

You're most welcomed to spend £1000 or £2000 on a buggy but I was just saying that I'd never do that but then again there are a lot of other unusual things that I'd do so each to their own.

Re: Beckham Family Outing

mrs. A, pea is perfect for either gender! a black stroller is seriously boring, imho... why get that when there are so many lovely colours available now?

i think i'd read posh got something like 15 different strollers at her shower. every company out there sent her a stroller as a gift- lucky iCandy- thats the kind of promotion you can't pay for!

khawa, genie's a lucky little lady mA, to be riding in such smooth wheels. also, blue rocks.

britchick lol worry not- when your baby comes along iA, ALL of us will help pick out his/her stroller! :D

hareem, you're right- it is about aesthetic with strollers looking so good these days, but that's not the only thing. personally speaking, i could have picked up a $200 stroller, but cheap plastic parts plus a heavy stroller plus aesthetic all added up to me spending more than that instead and i don't regret it for a second. i use my stroller on public transit a lot and its compact, easy to push, to lift up and down on the bus and streetcar, very smooth ride, not too wide, and the kidlet loves it. the good looks are pretty good lookin' too but definitely a bonus ;)
what i found was most often the cheaper brands lose points on functionality and then the $200 is as much a waste as spending $800 when you can't afford it.

gtg, haha! we love our stroller talk, don't we?

Re: Beckham Family Outing

^$800 comes to around £400, not too expensive, not too cheap. Quinny Zapp and Phill&ted pushchairs prices are between £300-£400 ($500-$800) and are not much different to icandy in terms of weight and functionality, Quinny Zapp is the lightest of all.

here are the prices for icandy:

Peach stroller £499.99
Peach main carrycot £149.99
Peach standard luxury footmuff £64.20
Peach changing bag £89.99
Peach parasol £24.60
Peach standard maxi cosi car seat adaptors £29.99
Cupholder £15.00
Peach parasol/cupholder clamp £4.25

comes to around $2000.

I just hope parents don't fall for the trap, if they're buying it coz they can easily afford the price then it's fine.

damn it! you can buy a good new car with that much money. lol

Re: Beckham Family Outing

I would never buy the accessories though...U can easily do without the cup holder, the foot muff etc etc.... Buy a cheaper kind? That doesnt affect the functioning of the actual stroller...

Re: Beckham Family Outing

2k for a car.. gosh no way  (unlesss and until it sits at the mechanic’s shop)

I think if you can afford it, go for it..considering I have spent months and months deciding which stroller to buy taht is cost effective as well as cute and not so bulky but I ended up with a travel system out of convienienice!!

I find this stroller veryyyy cute but am I going to buy it? no because I know the carrycot will be outgrown very soon and having a winter baby it wont be used much!! if it was a summer baby and I had planned outings, I probably would shell out money for something similar.. Infact I would have bought this http://www.bing.com/shopping/cameleon-stroller-single-reclining-aluminum-frame/p/AF521A9EB1BE1A97653C?q=bugaboo+stroller&lpq=bugaboo%20stroller&FORM=HURE if I really wanted to have a stroller for a couple of months
