I am making one for my sister for her 30th birthday.
I want to fill it with BEST cosmetics. She is still using stuff from her wedding (ewww) which I want her to throw out and get her brand new stuff
Suggestions please.

NARS "orgasm" or "gina" :@:
Dior Skinflash
Dior Diorshow mascara
Bobbi Brown foundation
MAC pigments in "cocomotion", "fairylight" and "dark-soul"
Bobbi Brown shimmer brick compact in "nectar"
MAC lip-pencils in "whirl" and "hover"
YSL lipstick in "pure mocha"
MAC lipsticks in "touch", "captive"
...these are a few of my favorite things.

Rather than a gift-basket, why not get your sister a gift-card to a beauty-product retailer like Sephora, Neiman Marcus, Saks, Barneys, Bloomingdales, etc... along with a card good for one Girl's-Day-Out with her sis? That way, you and your sister can have fun trying on different products and looking around; if she likes something, she can buy it right there or get a sample to try it out instead; there's no pressure to buy and no gift-receipts to fiddle around with (in case she doesn't love something in the basket). Not only will your sister get to take home some makeup, but the two of you will get to take home some really great memories.
Re: Beauty Basket
can u be my sister too? ;)

I thought of that Roxx - but I don't get to see her often and don't want to spend the time in the mall.
She gets confused in Sephora. She doesn't have the patience and is totally undecisive so needs someone to do the make up shopping for her.

when and where's the party at ?

Im sorry:( hope its not to late for u to go buy it
Re: Beauty Basket
But what if you buy her things she wont use? Thats just a waste of monies.
I would take her shopping and get her to select what she likes with guidence from yourself.
Re: Beauty Basket
Milly - I'll give her gift receipt. She usually steals my fancy makeup so obviously I would get her something she will use.
Re: Beauty Basket
My sister stole my chanel eye liner too, but once I told her the price had a mini heart attack that i would spend £15 on an eye pencil. She refused to give it back though. And when im not looking she steals my lipglosses and squeezes them into her little pots. I think her husband would freak if she spent what I spend on make up. I give her all my cast off and shes happy.
Re: Beauty Basket
This is what I gathered
Perfume (don't know which one Marc Jacob or Burberry Brit?)
Mascara Hypnose
NARS Velvet Lip Pencil
Urban Decay Shadow Box
Urban Decay Eye Pencils
Scrub/Exfloinat
Night cream
Some brushes and makeup remover
Sounds good?
