Beating up ur wife :)

yeah i have read it, and i have heard about it before as well but could not find it in the Quran so if any of you could pls give me the surah and ayah number, that would be great.

Deeba, I have posted the surah translation and have highlighted the part where the word ‘beat’ is used.

Sannan, before making assumptions about my intentions or whether or not i have read all the posts, u might want to read my posts too.

Anyway, lets ignore the beating part since thats bothering ppl. I don’t even think thats important because the essence of my question is still there. Lets even pretend a husband is not even allowed to tap his wife with a miswak as a symbolic act of punishing her. So while ignoring the issue of physical punishment, everyone still agrees the Quran has instructed men to admonish their wives, and then leave their bed if they fear her ill will right? So where is the part about women being instructed to do the same if they fear their husband’s ill will?

Or lets make this even simpler. A wife or the ‘weaker’ sex has to face consequences for her ill will and therefore must be held accountable. What consequences does a husband, the ‘stronger’ sex, have to face for his ill will?

Let me tell you something about Quran. If we ve some ayahh or Surrah in Quran there is almost an incident behind those Ayaah. So we can get it through Hadith or Aalims.
Allah says in Quran, Always says Inn Shah Allah in one of Ayaah. Being a Muslims having faith on Allah we should say Inn Sha Allah and there was a complete incident behind that Ayaah that once our Nabi Karim (peace be upon him) says that i’ll give the answer tomorrow but forgot to say Inn Sha Allah so there were no Wahi on them I think it happens for 2 or 3 days so in the end that Ayah came … sorry i forgot the aayah but that while incident can’t be define in Quran but Hazoor (peace be upon him) knows about it that why it occur.
So my friend this is bcoz you have to read Tafseer where you can find the details … But if you really want to criticize it then you are free to do and no one can satisfy you …
