A neat trimmed beard is nice, I agree. But what about some style, maybe goatee. Rather what about different styles of beard shapes..make it a line...make it thick..or zig zag, be different. :)
And if you do happen to grow it long, try braiding it...or dying it different colors :)

I once remember hearing a woman say, "Never trust a guy with a beard". I find that oddly peculiar since many of the Prophets (pbut) had beards. She is Christian herself.
Beards can look nice if kept well. I'd say keep it. I'd like my hubby to keep one if I ever get married, insha'Allah.
For all the girls that are often jealous of other women looking at their hubbies, I dont see why they dont like beards. Many women wont look at a bearded man twice.
Do guys with beards want girls to check them out? Just wondering.

a beard on a muslim man is what a headcovering to a muslimah is....it's part of the hijab.

All you people who have spent so much energy on my husband should really focus on how to be better muslims yourselves. If you feel you have already accomplished that, work on your families, your extended families. . etc.
and get a life :)

well, ill tell u what i have... i have french cut but with very less (almost none)moustache hairs and more (not a lot) of a hairs down in the chin..... Looks Perfect !

beard, beard beard!
keeping it is sooo easy, but you gotta keep it tidy. It looks attractive, makes you way much good looking and its sunnah, having the right intention, souly for Allahs sake as it was the Messengers (p.b.u.h) practice will gain you loads of reward too! nothing to loose!
ewww and moustaches on their own do not look nice! i say...stick with the sunnah, u get both worldy (makes you attractive) and akhira (reward if ur intentions are correct) gain :)

Was she referring to Muslim men or just men with beards in general?
Since you said she's Christian, there's no reason for you to find it peculiar why SHE feels bearded men are nto to be trusted since she has no link/connection/attachment to any of the Prophets (pbut) that Muslims would.
