Yeah Rayan, I knew about passbook as well but after usman’s post above, I did a little digging and it does seem that in the past week, there have been various reports that the iphone 5 will not have NFC. Obviously, nothing has been verified by Apple yet, so we have to wait and see… but if it’s true, it’ll be disappointing news for the mobile payments industry as a whole… not to mention numerous other apps that NFC would’ve enabled.
