In an interview conducted by NDTV, Rajiv SHukla from BCCI said that the Indian Board has not formally received any requests for support by the Pakistanis but Darell Hair should be investigated since he has had a negative influence in many games and is the reason for aggravations for many teams.
He even went on to say that the umpire is often seen as racially discriminatory.
^ if that is the case, then they should stop giving statements like
“We would never say no to any umpire that the ICC supported,” Shah told the Sydney Morning Herald. "If the ICC is happy with [Hair], then we are happy. "

PCB should have requested BCCI for support when this issue first cropped up. BCCI's financial clout would definitely influence ICC.
To be fair we cannot expect BCCI to come out all guns blazing in our favour. It will be a behind closed doors diplomacy where ICC will try to get a feel of how other boards look at the situation and if BCCI throws its weight behind us there (highly unlikely) then ICC will be in for a bit of tough time. I guess best is to wait and see how things develope.
I am shocked though that PCB hasnt conducted an Urdu press conference yet to let the poor nation know of whats going on.
I think the BCCI is well aware of the power available through this controversy. They know that Pakistan is supported by both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh...
By joining this coalition, it would be in their (BCCI's) best interest and only lead to them gaining more power within the cricket community.
Don,t believe too much on their statements,One day any of their officials say somthing ,Other day some other official will say somthing totaly diferent,,it,s proven many times in the past,
If it is true then BCCI has taken a bold step to the right direction.
PCB has been busy from the word go, and time to muster support never came. It was all spontaneous, and time to ues this support is not here yet.
The funny thing is that Zee News reports that BCCI say that PCB has not contacted them for support over this issue.
Seems SheherYar Khan is just licking his fingers, doing nothing, what he is supposed to be doing is to talk to all Boards to rally support in our favour.
I think Pakistan shouldn't compaign for winning support of the other test playing nations, rather Pakistan should prove Hair wrong and then expect (through back door diplomacy) other boards to support their innocence and push for exemplary punishment to a racist, biased and incompetent official, who tarnished the image of Pakistan, deprived millions of cricket fans from action, caused unnecessary stress and humaliation to Pakistani stars.
Once they prove Hair wrong then they should push ICC for banning him from any officiating responsibilities at any level, not just droping him from elite panel, and additionally they must sue him (use same lawers) for damage, stress, and financial losses he caused to Pakistan team, PCB and whole nation.
Finally good news for PCB, BCCI supported Pakistan officially. Open Indian Media news channels and watch the latest news LIVE. PCB manager welcomed this decision, I just saw his interview.:halo:
PCB manager Zaheer Abbas also said, they still have'nt got any official support from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka but he said, we are sure they will be our side.
