I guess only the Fans are interested in some kind of ‘lobby support’ from the balcony.
One must remember that the present circumstances don’t get influenced by some kind of ‘vote support’ or ‘electoral power’. This is going to be a diciplinary hearing and will be adjudged by the people who are employed by the same committee. Highly unusual and controvercial, I know !
Its not the electoral voting that will push ICC, rather the support for Pakistan would mean ICC would feel the pressure mounting and give it a proper thought and not try to shove it under carpet.
Actual Pakistan did not persue or seek any ^ such support. They protested in their own way what seemed right for them at the time, and now that we see the concequences its heartening to realize that it was the best way they followed.
Inzi managed to keep this issue on the front burner from the word go without
showing willingness to talk about the matches ahead.
In the meanwhile Hair gets involved with ICC money proposal scandal, YES Scandal! Because its not clear whether his 'This' action has any thing to do with his 'That' action. Was this whole thing was just a preemptive conception?
Other boards are moraly responsible to undertand this view and show solidarity to a fellow member and get their points through to ICC.
The later can be useful to muster strong lobby for future reforms to ICC agenda. But not with the present issue,,,
There was no conterverosy at that time, it was a pretty open/shut case. Pakistan team did not get caught red handed tampering with the ball, where as Sachin and Dravid were caught on camera doing so, yet BCCI has enough power to make the punishment go away by playing an "unoffical" test.
Staying with the current case although BCCI's support would make Pakistan's case a lot stronger (only because of India's commercial appeal) but I dont think PCB should be asking for support from any cricket board. We have a problem with an umpire, we have a very strong case and we should take it to the court and prove our point. If the match refree rules agaisnt us, PCB should take the ICC to the court and start a legal battle.
