I’ve just seen the first episode and just like in the past there is a clear process of preparing the minds of the BBC audience to accepting the absurdity of the West’s next strategic move to arrive at their ends and continue the bogus war on terror … the one of Pakistan allegedly being involved in double playing the West.
The way I see it is that from the start Al-Qaeda were always the clear target of America not Taliban … and yet Taliban were replaced with the Northern Alliance … Pakistan was integral in taking out Al-Qaeda operatives some high ranking and yet Pakistan are now getting blamed for double crossing the West for helping the Taliban … When in fact the West knew all the time that Taliban were never their direct enemy and it was no secret that Taliban were being given support since before 9/11 anyway - with vital CIA involvement.
They even understood that the interests of Pakistan were to remain in balanced relations with Taliban …
They say at the end of the episode that Pakistan was systematically enabling the Taliban to recoup - that may be the case, but to say that it is somehow wrong our coy of Pakistan to do so is wrong. A nation was invaded to root out a few individuals … the nation are only involved in regaining their own borders, whereas those other individuals are not working for a border … rather see it fit to attack people in order to harm the West without considering the protection of civilians.
Just as A-Qaeda was equated to Taliban now there is move to equate the Taliban with Pakistan … and I believe we here must resist this as much as possible … for the sake of truth and protecting the interests of our ancestral land from external scrutiny.
Re: BBC start a documentary mini series about Pakistan and Taliban
Same thing I always say: "Manufacturing Consent".
Most people, not just in Britain consider the BBC to put out high quality, unbiased journalism. Although over the last ten years, it's became painfully apparent that this is not the case, people still trust what they put out.
Re: BBC start a documentary mini series about Pakistan and Taliban
Well the thing is yes we can lobby and write to the BBC I for one have been doing my bit to stir up trouble for them ever since they got rid of Greg Dyke and I bet I am on one of thier blacklists…
Seriously theres very little effect we can have on them becuase they still get the license fee so they cant give a damn… the BBC is gona really get hurt though by the digital switchover and they know it.
Re: BBC start a documentary mini series about Pakistan and Taliban
If you've seen the documentary and feel it's biased there must be articles on the programme (BBC itself, maybe the Guardian etc) where you can leave your comments and opinions..
Re: BBC start a documentary mini series about Pakistan and Taliban
Although I want to watch it but I expect it to be nothing other than propaganda documentary. Most of the time these documentaries tell half-truth which is no better than a lie in fact more damaging than lie.

Peace All
Thanks for you comments ... The real way we in the UK can affect things is to speak to people openly in our own circle of friends and colleagues ... We should see if there is a chance to get some good speakers on the TV programmes - such as Question Time ...
The fundamental truth is that Pakistani agencies were involved in Taliban from the beginning - this is common knowledge, but to turn around and now say that Pakistan is double crossing is history re-written ... there is no double cross ... clearly from the video there are heavy edits and many clues that the West were complicit and in full knowledge. The matter is that in the past Taliban were not the enemy - Al-Qaeda were and now Al-Qaeda and Taliban have been considered one in the same as a result of gradual media distortion and now since Pakistan were helping Taliban - for example as asylum seekers, this is considered now an act of supporting the terrorist ...
This type of media spin comes when the public are being prepared to accommodate another boogie man because the previous one has been eliminated ...

Yes watch it and speak about where you feel it has gone wrong ... and write about it here so when people search they find us talking about it too ...
Re: BBC start a documentary mini series about Pakistan and Taliban
Did all those protests against Iraq War yield anything??
On the authority of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, radiyallahu 'anhu, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, say:
"When any one of you sees anything that is disapproved (of by Allah), let him change it with his hand. If he is not able to do so, then let him change it with his tongue. And if he is not able to do so, then let him change it with his heart, though that is the weakest (kind of) faith." [Muslim]

It may be futile ... but we should try ...
