BBC America...

Has finally started showing some good shows …

The Kumars at No. 42
Goodness Gracious Me

I know the UK guppies have been watching these for a few years, but they JUST started showing it here. I love it! Both shows are VERY funny.

Now all BBC America has to do is start showing Eastenders again and it’ll be my new favourite channel.

Re: BBC America...

Goodness Gracious Me only series 1 was good...they took it too serioulsy and defeated the purpose with all series after 1...

The Kumars at No. 42 i feel sorry for them now...

Channel 4 are much better at showing asians who can act and take their jobs seriouisly, BBC 3 did good with Grease Monkeys...but other than that...channel 4 is better.

EastEnders is now crap...after Tiffeny died there was no point!

Re: BBC America...

kumars is rubish. when they used to show GGM ( kiss my chadis) my parents wouldnt let me watch it because it was too crude. so i missed out :(

Re: BBC America…

aww bless u love, you didnt miss out on much…“kiss my chadis” and “oh twadi” were about the only funny phrases they used…“how big is his danda” got kind lame towards the end.

Re: BBC America...

lol i luved the way james was jamzzzzzzzzzzz :D

Re: BBC America...

Mehnaz! I know this is sooooo cool. I've been seing ads fro this all over NYC..and am pumped.

Re: BBC America...

amelie

teh have recently brought back goodness gracious me on BBC america. They were showing it a few years ago and then rotated in some other programs.

and as far as catch phrases go, who can forget

"ras malaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai"

to day my favourite skits from teh show are

1- the swami ji "imran khan and botham..batman in gotham".. harijan ford, dark invader, death sitaar and the furry critters

2- bharat homes

Re: BBC America…

I watched it for the first time last night. The “rasmilaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiii” joke was too funny.

I like the Kumar talk show too. It’s so unique … very entertaining stuff.

Waleed, Jamzzzz :hehe: … is the waiter the the guy from Bend it Like Beckham? It looks like him!

Re: BBC America...

wait...wait... so is bbc america on cable ?

Re: BBC America…

I don’t know about the States. We get it through satellite.

If you are in Canada, I think they show it BBC Canada. I am positive they show Eastenders of BBC Canada. They just don’t show Eastenders on BBC America. :grumpy:

Re: BBC America...

EastEnders is not worth the hassle anymore...honestly...Phil and Grant have left and they killed Steve Owen :(

"ras malaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai" aint so funny when every 15 year old uses it as your name.

My unlce still has a "bharat", and he's very proud of it too :D

Out of the funny sketches that GGM, i miss the songs they used to sing at the end, my fav was the boyband track they did and the the two rudeboys with their "Kiss My Chuddies" remix.

Re: BBC America...

Don't say that about Eastenders Miss M. I love that show. They cancelled it due to poor viewers. Me and Brad Pitt were the only ones in North America watching the show. :(

Re: BBC America...

didnt Brad and his now ex? wife campaign against the desicion to cancel it?

Honestly its not too good anymore, its getting as pathetic as Sunset Beach etc...and has so lost the humour aspect of it., and to make matters worse...theres no fit men to perv on while watching it...i mean thats just a reason in itself not to watch it anymore....:p

Re: BBC America...

There were never any fit men on Eastenders. :p Let me think .... nope, none!

Yeah, they did campaign against the decision. Oh well.

Re: BBC America…

erm..Steve Owen aka Martin Kemp= pure fitness, especially when he killed Saskia whatsherface :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: BBC America...

Oh yeah, I remember him from his Spandau Ballet days. He's yummy!

They never showed those episodes here though. They started showing it again after he ran off with Mel's money, or something like that .... don't remember the storyline. Maybe they did and I missed them.

sigh Oh well.

Re: BBC America...

kishmish- BBC america is also available on comcast cable

east ender lovers- you can sign up for a special east enders service with dish. look up info on their website

martin kemp fans- did you like him in the "krays" movie about reggie and ronnie kray,. he was in it with his bro gary kemp. also from spandau ballet

Re: BBC America...

I v seen the Krays movie too many times...its so funny and yet so disturbing at the same time. What is even more freaky, is that iv been the pub which the real Kray brothers used as their local. I didn't go inside as i was too scared but stood outside thinking of all the cool gunda stuff they must have done inside.

Martin Kemp's a really good actor, i don't think his brothers done much acting after the Krays.

Re: BBC America...

Mohabbat - why are you always putting good stuff down. Aik dafa keh dau and let the viewers make up their own mind.

MehnazQ- thanks for the heads up. I get BBC America. Episode 2 is on Wed 10:40 EST.

Re: BBC America...

Funguy, i was giving my opinion, i didnt tell her or anyone else not to watch anything. think of my opinion as an aid in assisting your decisions not to waste your time, you will be grateful one day, trust me :)
