Battery Life?

Re: Battery Life?

That’s what it seems like. Better u give ur S3 to my Choti!

Re: Battery Life?

Yes but by not charging it every day, you're not being wasteful of energy resources, not to mention saving money on electricity bill!

Re: Battery Life?

Then why are using the computer to visit a forum? save energy stop posting and using computer.

Re: Battery Life?

It's about increasing the lifespan of the battery on the long run. Especially because you just can't replace the battery of an iphone like you could with any other phone. Well one can buy a replacement kit on ebay or send it to apple, but there are various reasons why some people would not like to do that though.

Also, just because I have a Thomas Crapper throne at home and I payed for it, doesn't mean I have to spend most of the time there. Only make use of it when you have to go.

Sometimes I get the feeling that some members here are writing their posts from that very special throne though.

I guess you leave your computer on throughout the entire day?

Re: Battery Life?

but the point is to you use the phone you bought when you need it. yea, i leave macbook pro on last time i fully shut that thing was like two weeks. ago

but if you look at the above post he is talking about conserving energy, why use extra stuff?

Re: Battery Life?

Not sure if anybody had mentioned this already but the rule of thumb with batteries is to completely discharge them, then put em to charge and fill up till 100% then discharge completely before attempting to recharge. Idea being plug into the wall as less often to keep battery life as prosperous as possible.

Re: Battery Life?

hmm well I don't want to be out and have the phone die on me that's why I don't let it get too low. But I get the logic of letting it completely drain.

I never turn off my phone or laptop. :/ Phone is always on fully and laptop is on hibernate at night.

Re: Battery Life?

Never turn off your laptop as well? lol

Well, I got a HTC desire C , I charge it once a day. I don't keep notifications active such as fb or email.

Re: Battery Life?

This kind of goes against the whole ideals of having a smart phone. I think Zap doesn't even need a phone at all and could survive :p

Re: Battery Life?

 Still no iphone users? Maybe there aren’t any. :stuck_out_tongue: (usman 0142 I’m kidding)

Re: Battery Life?

All smartphones have approx the same time frame to use their phones Gone are the days when we used to get 4-5 days of battery. Unless you have a kindle
if you can get thru the whole day with one charge you’re good. Don’t complain. Or hit ebay and get extended batteires. Droid Max does come with at 3350mA battery which lasts almost 2 days (regular use, not dimmed screen or in a drawer) :hehe:

Re: Battery Life?

I charge my phone about that much as well

Re: Battery Life?

:-). i feel like S3 battery is better then the iphone 4S, i am getting 5 inshallah pretty soon, then i can really compare it to S3. S3 is a better phone then a iphone 5, but its too big for my liking. by the way t-mobile has released jelly bean for S3.

:hayaa:

Re: Battery Life?

Kya Hua?

Samsung has lithium ion battery. Following is from the web.

Avoid fully discharging a lithium-ion battery! Unlike Ni-Cd batteries, lithium-ion batteries’ life is shortened every time you fully discharge them. Instead, charge them when the battery meter shows one bar left. Lithium-ion batteries, like most rechargeable batteries, have a set number of charges in them.

Re: Battery Life?

My phone lasts about 4-5 days. It's a Nokia 1200 with a 1.5" display. The only cool thing about it is the torch on top of it. But it'll save me a heart attack when I get mugged, losing a smart phone, can't even imagine the pain.

Calls and Texts that's all it's good for.

So there is a best before date for Samsungs :( I mean since there are a set number of charges the phone is no good afterwards right? Or I guess one could buy a new battery. How much are those?

Yes, please do share the battery life on iphone5. Hmm yea the S3 is big and I thought I would have a hard time with it but I love it so far. I suppose comes down to personal preference.

Re: Battery Life?

you are absolutely right with personal preference, if the screen was 4.0 or even 4.3 i would have kept the phone but i have hard typing. so had to sell it.

Re: Battery Life?

Saeed, you got to stop living in a fear, good things are created to enjoy. not if this happened or that. Enjoy man.
