How many of you are careful about switching lights , fans , tv off when you are not in the room?

Re: Batiyaan bhujai rakhdee ....

very bad,you need to change your habits…

Its been ingrained in us since childhood…sometimes someone is still in the room when I switch a light off :cb:

Re: Batiyaan bhujai rakhdee ....

Im all for energy saving, i do the same at work, go round turning the lights off everywhere

Re: Batiyaan bhujai rakhdee ....

I always switch the lights/fan off when i leave a room. But somehow i always forget to switch off the washroom light hehe

Re: Batiyaan bhujai rakhdee …

batiyaan bhujai rakhdee …** te diva balay saari raat**

there could be another thread in Life1 after the highlighted part of the song’s lyrics.

The question could be … "how many people here like doing ‘it’ in the dark (ya divay ki batti mein) ?

:hehe:

Re: Batiyaan bhujai rakhdee ....

I hate having the lights off, especially the feeling of walking out of a room into a hallway that is completely dark. I tend to keep the lights on in the main living areas all evening until I go to bed (but even then I leave a light on in the downstairs hall)

I don't use energy saving light bulbs either, why is the light so dim?? I guess I'll have to start getting used to them though as apparently the standard bulbs are being phased out this year.

Re: Batiyaan bhujai rakhdee ....

Energy saving bulbs are the way forward .... we hae replaced all of our bulbs in the home into enegy saving ones ... even our lamps ...

Re: Batiyaan bhujai rakhdee ....

lol i first thought you said daughters when you wrote batiyaan

Re: Batiyaan bhujai rakhdee …

I do. But my sister does it a bit too much :hoonh:

Example, i am watching tv in the room and go to the kitchen to get me a drink.
By the time i am back, she has already swicthed off the light and turned off the tv :nahi:

Re: Batiyaan bhujai rakhdee ....

They take a minute or two to reach full brightness. We use the philips softtone as large bulb replacements and they tell you on the box what the light is equivalent to, so we also make sure to buy the ones equivalent to 86W regular bulbs. For lamps, I like the short spiral ones that are equivalent to 44W, which is what most people usually put in lamps.

In the long term, they are so much cheaper for you. About 4 E.S bulbs will equal the wattage of 1 standard bulb.

Re: Batiyaan bhujai rakhdee ....

inshallah looks like you 're ready to settle down...

Re: Batiyaan bhujai rakhdee ....

I dunno, I've tried several brands and they never seem as bright as non energy saving bulbs. Perhaps it's all in my mind?
