This thread inspired me to go outside and buy the goodies mentioned in the title.
I knew this fine gentleman will be there at the corner of my street with his mobile shop.
And I bought these from him.
Two different types of gajaks and one type of batashas each costed me twenty rupees while chilghozas, as mentioned earlier in the thread, are on a pricier side so they costed a hefty fifty rupees.
I asked khan sahab about sales and he told it takes him approx 15 days to sell five kg of gajak while one kg of chilghoza gets sold in about four days.
kiuN nahiiN milegaa? ab agar maiN ne Thaan li to maiN Bareilly jaa kar Haasil karuuNgaa kiuN k “BarelviyoN” kaa gaRh shahr Bareilly meN hii hai jo India meN waaq’e hai…

to add further there are two categories of chilgoza. polished / unpolished. what you buy from big stores are polished one which cost you around Rs 2000 per kg. polished one will cost you around Rs 1700 at joRiya bazar. unpolished are for Rs 1150. The one you posted above looks unpolished. There is no drastic difference between the two. polished one don’t leave marks on your finger. These marks are light and as soon as you jhaaR your hands, they disappear. so shashke main paise mat ganwana. Also kajoo are for Rs 1100 per Kg at joRiya bazar. The dry fruit sellers in streets charge Rs 100 for chatank.
