Acha janab, lekin baat tu ho rahee thee keh jab aap 5th ya 6th grade main thay tab bhi aap aisee hee zaban use kertay thay.
Khair Urdu tu hamari bhi Masha Allah say kafi achi hai. Zaban kay rumooz o oqaaf, latafat o saqafat, CHaSHni o Mithaas, khushk o tar, aur bhi bohat kuch say hum bhi waqif haiN
You are right, BataaouN and Bengan are same, I said they are different just because Ammi jan said BataaouN instead of Bengan, may be in her mind they are different too. Aur aur may be woh aap kee vocabulary ko test kerna chah rahee thee.
Only reason coming to my mind why they have different names, is coz in Sub Continent we have so many traditions, so something is called something in one area called something else in other area. Like for cabbage ya bund gobhi aother word is karam kalla one of my neighbor in Pakistan use to call a Kaddo a Kola (I don’t know they reason) they were from Agra may in Agra they call it Kola. In Pakistan we call Timatar and in Hyderabad Deccan they call it TamaTay.
Anwaar Bhai, agar “na-gawar-e-khatir” na ho to (ya “tabiat par giraan na guzray” tou) bara-e-meherbaani “Touri / Tura’ee aur Koosay” ka farq aur “Loukee aur Kaddoo” ka farq bhi samjha dain tou Haazreen / Naazreen aur Qaar’een par Ain Nawazish hogi… ahm ahm
