Why eid-ul-fitar is known as choti eid and eid-ul-azha as bari eid?
I think this badi or choti Eid terminology is not common in Arabs. I don't hear equivalent terms like Eid e Sughra or Eid e Kubra. If there were such terms in Arabs, I would have concluded that Eid ul Fitr is totally a Muslim occasion (people started celebrating it after arrival of Islam), whereas Eid ul Adha was celebrated in pre-Islamic Arab with minor variations. So Eid ul Adha predates Eid ul Fitr thats why it could be called badi Eid.

people from old generation complain now. probably they miss their companions who died.
I think materialism also have its role in decreasing the excitement.

Yes i also think these termed were coined by us.
Maybe this could be the reason that
. ‘Bari Eid’ brings all Muslims together in celebrating Hajj, which is itself a reminder of the Ibrahamic sacrifice , while ‘Choti Eid’ commemorates solely the end of the fasting of Ramazan.
Bari eid has a sacrifice, and is because of the compulsion to give a share of the sacrifice to the poor, it means that everyone will feast.

Actually I wasthinking…wht all could be the reasons for the decline in enthusiasm…
Age factor, as you grow older you only enjoy the company of your age fellows.I was told by kids you peolpe are bore we enjoy so much on eid.

But kids enjoy with kids too...like adults should enjiy with adults. Then why dont adults enjoy ?
Kids are flexible they enjoy with kids and adults alike but most of the times adults get irritated by our nonsense

Eid ul Azha pe bari cheezein khane ko milti hain(lamb chops waghera waghera)is liye bari eid

My elders join us at times...but thts not the point... I think there is more to the enthusiasm decline....

How about Increasing of responsibility ? Kids are carefree...not responsible...so they enjoy ?
