Re: Barack Obama
is America realistically ready to vote in a black President?
To the people not living in the US: Yes.
Re: Barack Obama
Senators really don’t make Presidents.. Governors however do.. Congressmen.. perhaps..
Ron Paul for President in 2008 .. ![]()
Re: Barack Obama
Or put another way, Senators don't make good Presidential candidates. To the best of my knowledge, the last senator who actually got elected as President was John F Kennedy (1960). In general, Senators can not defend all the votes they have cast on the Senate floor, and this vulnerability is exploited mercilessly by the opponent (usually a Governor). To this end, Obama's relative inexperience is useful. He doesn't have to defend a whole decade of mis-votes a la Kerry ("I voted for the war before I voted against the war").
Re: Barack Obama
if the choice is between anti Muslim and anti Muslim people then Muslims should try and get the dumbest leader elected
Re: Barack Obama
Problem with dumb leaders is that they are easily manipulated by ppl around them and then it may get even more awful for muslims.
Re: Barack Obama
Which of the declared candidates are anti-Muslim?
Re: Barack Obama
Seminole, consider that a rhetorical comment. Something like Murphy's Law :-)
Re: Barack Obama
Sucks
Re: Barack Obama
^
As someone who was a 2 time avid Bush supporter, that 'sucks' comment is a compliment towards Obama.
Re: Barack Obama
While I generally give everyone the benefit of the doubt, I don't give too much credit to anyone's opinon who supported Bush twice. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Re: Barack Obama
no seminole its, "fooled me once shame on you, fool me twice..err ahh, duhhh...uhhh.. aint gonna fool me twice"
Re: Barack Obama
Question for Afrid? Does Bush have experience?
LOL! he has the experience of making war!
Obama crap! no way!!! and i really hope he doesnt on clinton's ticket, she is freakin EVIL!!!!
if anything SHE may have a better chance with HIM on her ticket! i think ppl are on to her evilness.... Obama is really the only way she is going to get the left (that hates her) left vote! she will get he neutral dem.'s just cause she represents the party - but the dem.'s who are pisst at her for pushing the neo-con agenda...i figure she will need Obama to ease the friction.
Re: Barack Obama
Semi, I did not vote in 2000, I voted for Bush in 2004. Now, lets see what exactly Mr. Obama's track record is? ....................................................... That is right nothing to speak of. Appearing on Oprah and being propped up by the left wing media circuits does not count.
Re: Barack Obama
^
care to share bush's excellent track record that made u vote for him in 2004...
Re: Barack Obama
comedic relief..
Re: Barack Obama
Simply put, alternative was too scary. It was a choice between bad and worse, I choose bad. that is all
Re: Barack Obama
I am no proponent of Obama. Bush has already proved what an unqualified, inexperienced person can do in the White House. (Although Obama's intelligence, common sense and no strings to the neo con oil baron evangelical loonies rates him way above Bush).
But I have a very hard time believing Bush was the better choice. His actions and where we are today can't get any scarier.
Re: Barack Obama
^ What actuallu did Kerry say that inspired confidence in you to say that he could have done a better job? This is a guy who threw away one of the highest honors bestowed upon him by his nation......
Re: Barack Obama
versus a guy who ran away from the possibility to earn one of these high honors?
