Baqra eid in India and COWS

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

well thats all buffalo meat. they call it beef, but it isnt cow meat. the only real beef available in india is in kerala and the north-east.

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

What are hamburgers made of in India? How about big macs at McDonalds?

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

So why in 'secular' India, it is banned to do cow qurbani?

Secularism=Separation of religion from state right? :)

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

^^ COZ WE DONT WANT PEOPLE TO BECOME BUTCHERS

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

LOL

You must not have thought before saying that. Or maybe you did but still came up with that answer!!

Funniest part is that you used capital letters to announce your 'deep' thinking. ;)

A butcher still is a butcher if he slaughters a sheep.

So if India is 'secular' then definiton of secular is different in India. :D

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

I don't think India is secular look at star plus dramas all of them are loaded with mandirs etc.And South side people are usually very religious. I met tamilians and they are very religious.

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

Most of the roadside seekh vendors in Bombay use "bade ka meat" (buffalo), goat meat would be too expensive for them, so beef is definitely not the preserve of the posh restaurants. Also both beef and pork are very integral parts of East Indian cuisine (East Indians as in not people from East of India but these are one of the original inhabitants of Bombay).

McDonald's used to have goat meat in the Big Mac or the Maharaja Mac but sometime back they changed to chicken when their research suggested Indian children prefer chicken much more to the red meat.

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

double post - sorry

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

It's kinda funny that we can make tasty, mouth watering tikkas, seekh kababs and chappli kababs of a hindu god.

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

In my state Karnataka, there is a ban on cow slaughter and that has been implemented recently. Here people tend to go for goats and sheeps. In Bangalore you can not see much hotels serving beef and the reason being the hotels will miss out a great percentage of it's customers if they do so.

Even the top- notch hotels run by Muslims in Bangalore do not serve Beef. But there are a few good outlets serving Beef. But here you can see mostly Muslims going for that and not Hindus.

In Tamil Nadu it is the same thing.Though there is a ban and it is not stringently implemented,Beef is not available at Top Hotels.....

Andhra there is a ban....and also in another state in South India Pondicherry....

The state of Kerala has long been opposing ``ban on cow slaughter, that has been implemented by many states.

In Kerala it is not banned. In Kerala almost all of are Beef eaters irrespective of caste and community.Almost everywhere you will get beef and you will get beef in all hotels run even Hindus.

Let me tell you one thing that in Jammu and Kashmir it is not permitted.....

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

We can all start another india bashing thread and then hindu posters are going to come and react to that and then if mods do not react then all the self claimed patriots will start bashing the mod team in Feedback forum-

is it neccessary that whenever we are discussing india, we somehow try to make it look like an inferior country?

Secular does not mean atheist, secular means respecting all religions. Cow has a religious significance in Hinduism so why is it an issue if slaughter is not allowed. I am sure that none of the Indian Muslims would complain. Yeah saaray jahan ka dard pakistani muslamanon main kyun hai

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

Nowhere in Hindusim it is told to abstain from taking meat.(Infact Lord Rama is said to be taking fish in one chapter in Ramayana..... )

Cow has a special significance in Hinduism because it gives the essential stuffs like Milk,Dung,Urine,Ghee etc which arte essential for Homas' orPoojas' or for `divine offers'..

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

well TLK - it is not a matter of looking them as an inferior country - It is about all washing out their tall claims of AkhaNd and Maha-bhaRat ....

just for the sake of argument if we take your statement ' Cow has a religious significance in Hinduism so why is it an issue if slaughter is not allowed ' in consideration - Dont you think there should a law against selling Pork atleast in Muslim dominated states?

so if there any thing in relation - my friend ?

SaRaY jahan ka Dard pakistani musalmaNo k jigar mein is leay hai - kay yea Indians apNa BuRa kia howa bi nahii manTee haiN - how many Indians you have seen on this forum condemning the Indian atrocities against the people of Kashmir...

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

^Thts th tantalizing aspect of Kashmir. It can from nowhere. :hehe:

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

yeah ur right :cb:

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

Yeah yeah yeah ... all good but I just have one question for you. How many Indian Muslims have you seen complaining about all this that you are complaining about (unless you think that Indian Muslims are brainwashed and/or inferior Muslims than us and somehow we are the chosen one to fight their fight)

and please do not post any googled link here because in return, I can post 5 to support my POV. How many Indian Muslims have you met personally who ever complained about this?

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS

I think - Indian Muslims don't have the required freedom of speech ..

And I have met many in person - who have even confessed doing Chori chupay Halal'ing of Gao MaaTa in muslim dominated areas :)

And I didnt complain at all - where did you see me registering my complaint for allowing indian muslim to have Cow zibah ?

But yes - I do have an issue when they don't call a spade a spade and support their ill doings ...

Re: Baqra eid in India and COWS
