Since Hindus have great respect for cows in India, how do Muslims do the qurbani on Eid.Do they only do goats or are they allowed to have qurbanis of cows?

cow slaughter is banned by law in most of north india and now even in most of the southern states.
UZ, can you even point out hyderabad on a map? i doubt it.

Uz - mainly they do goats - and here and there few cows - the rest of Ga'o Mataaz are smuggled to Pakistan for Eid-e-qurban.

The customer who buys them is also happy - as more cows mean less market price

UZ, Nisk once told me that other than high end hotels, you cant find beef dishes anywhere in India, so yes I am pretty sure that cow slaughtering is not allowed by law, in India. If someone does it illegally then that is another case.

Beef is available in all “posh” restaurants in India. Where it comes from, I don’t know . You actually get really good quality beef, so again, I don’t know. However, publicly slaughtering one for purposes of Eid…know that would be quite interesting.

in india, "beef" is usually buffalo meat. in places like kerala and goa, you can get real beef though.

On a similar note, I wonder if Pakistani high end hotels serve pork? I know that they serve alcohols if you have a non-pakistani passport but not sure about the pork.

They don't , you can getit mostly in private parties held at foreign embassies - lady wine is way easier to get then mister porky ....

I know. Muslaman sharab pee le gaa, juwa khail le gaa, zina kar le gaa lekin mar jaa’egaa par soowar ka gosht nahi khaa’e gaa ..
