Those who see things from very nationalistic/political spectrum probably can’t stand each other. It’s not like Pakistanis are bursting with love for Indians or Bengladeshis. I find Pakistanis far more picky. Maybe the Urdu speaking folks are slightly more flexible in marrying Indians or Bengladeshis, but I find rest of the Pakistani communities very reserved on this issue.

Two possible reasons.

1. Brought up in the west - so don’t hold prejudices
2. Religiously inclined - Tablighees for example - they rather marry a muslim brother/sister (big LOL on that :P)

Lol, i don’t get what the big deal is. Marriage to anyone is a personal preference. My sis in law (cousins wife) is Iranian. We’ve never had anyone else from another culture in our family so it was a pleasant surprise. He liked her and convinced his family to let him marry her. To be honest, she’s one of the most fun people I’ve met. She’s beautiful, kind and respectful. She doesn’t know Urdu but she tries on a regular basis to conversate with the rest of the family. An added advantage: her daughter now knows various languages. The beautiful child speaks urdu, farsi, and english. She’s also intelligent enough to identify who she has to speak Urdu with and who farsi with.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if the guy/girl is Bangladeshi or American or Indian or whatever. Its a personal preference and if you’re happy with them, go ahead and marry them

Not if that Bangladeshi isn’t really proud of being a Bangladeshi and your question sort of says that.
