This was requested in the Feedback forum. Some users are annoyed that members first post their pictures and then remove the pictures within a short time.
The original complaint/suggestion is posted in this thread:
The above mentioned solution is also good one, but that won't teach those a lesson.. coz thats what they want afterall, once the pic is removed.. they don't care if the thread lives or is dead, or removed or deleted ...
I go for a ban the member option.. As I have come across too many threads too wayyy too many times to mention that a pic was removed after a few selected guppies had seen the pic.. Which is annoying.. as we all know.. Either don't post it, or don't remove once posted.
i love democracy! I get to vote on an issue and if it all goes into the liberal's favor, I may soon be banned for a week... ;)
No, really. The mods are people, too--and as far as I know, they don't get paid for what they do. So we should give them some sadistic fun by banning people as payment. Or we could do nothing and have people fill up sections with basically junk. Or we could ban people for a week.
It all seems as though some people will be unhappy. Can't we just include this in the rules that only after the thread is a few weeks old, they can remove portions of it or just make it against the rules and give a few warning and max penalty of banishment for a week. Or the admins could always give the starter of a thread, the ability to delete their threads that they don't want others to see anymore. It would save the mods some time, easily get rid of unwanted, empty, threads and nobody will be resentful. How does that sound?
i think the moderators have no communication among themselves , I had devised a way of avoiding this by quoting the pic that is put on ...if after some time the person removed the pic the quoted pic wuld remain....but then admin stated removing the pic from the quoted post also ...so u should ban the admin for a week instead.
nope ... its the irritation ... these boards are historical records ... if people start taking out stuff, then the coming generations in 3002 wont be able to see the images! samja karo na, Akif pehlwan!
my vote to remove the thread and send the user on a week's jabri rukhsat ...
Thanks for ur consideration Don...and I had thought my case was closed (until of course Azkar pai stopped by)...but as u can see the results are pretty clear...the quality of image section can only be judged if there are images here to begin with...
Same goes for the voice gallery..if there is a thread with "no" recorded message..throw it outta the window.
I like this voting idea...I wouldn't mind seeing it in the Corner room as well...it tells u what majority wants to read/see...
I think one of the choices above should also be to MOVE the thread to Cafe, so members can continue their gupshup there and Image Gallery should be rid of tasweer-less threads
Kiya khayal hai?

Salamz....
Sometimes a man wishes to do something which he desires to do at that moment. If it is reasonably within the boundaries of good taste and manners, then nothing should stop someone from doing what they want. However, man being man, never remains the same in taste or nature, after a time. If he wishes to remove something of his which he wanted to share with others then decides against sharing, he shouldn't be stopped from doing that either. So, the option to post and remove and edit and delete portions or whole part of a post should remain entirely upto the "postee".
Just lock the thread and leave it Give this option as well, my vote is for that. Some users just like to make fuss about everything (including me ofcourse ) Leave the thread it means no harm, may be some ppl don’t like the idea of someone seeing their pic after a month or a year of posting, so I don’t see any harm in ppl removing their pics
