Muharram and rabi ul Awal jaloos makes life difficult for people. I dont see any benefit in blocking roads , making a high security alert situation which also cost high on tax payers just to please certain groups.

This should also be done, but it is like banning on double sawari , either you snap check all traffic as terrorist will not be telling all that i have the gun.

What religious significane it has for shias (muharram jaloos) and sunnis (12th Rabi ul Awal)?

I would argue Milaad of Rasulallah is as much of a Bidah as many aspects of 12er imami processions
but thats just my opinion
