I agree with the assertion that some of the sardars have been quite brutal with their followers (especially bugti) but we also need to understand that balochistan is essentially a tribal area, and we cannot force our ideals down their throats. Development, education, involving more and more baloch in the work force and proving to them that they are important stakeholders in the country can help them in the long run to get rid of the sardars.
The operations that the army has carried out in balochistan have affected sardars and common people both. I have some very close family member from the bugti tribe, and they dont want to talk about the situation in Sui (as many people of their tribe have been killed during the past 3-4 years). As when the initial operation was carried out the bugti's were driven out of their areas into sindh, when they later returned target killing started (which many pin on the security forces).
The thing is that the government needs to reach out to the ordinary people, the situation needs to be resolved as soon an possible and necessary changes be made in the constitution to avoid similar situation in balochistan (and else where in the country).
Some sardars? are you kidding me? tell me which sardar have done even little bit of work for this tribe??? and these are the sardars milking money from govt, which govt of Pakistan wrongfully giving to them and is has been doing nothing to save these common balochs from the cruel clutches of these sardari system...
It is about time GoP stop getting blackmailed by these criminals who are not less freaks then their Talibanic colleagues, It is time to expose the missdoings of these sardars and their system of denying justice or any kind of right which a human should have to the common balochis and at the same time GoP should take it directly to the people..
I know one operation which as i write these lines has been carried out by the Engineering wing of Pak-Army, that is on the chorme mine where the locals are given the high salaries and have been given protection by the army from their sardars, this is the area of Murreess
and i know one more operation which is being heard by the SC and that is Reko-DEC which the baloch provincial govt is dying to give out for free ( just against some mere commission) to the foreign company, remember in the baloch assembly there is no opposition, and every member of the assembly has ministerial status.. now beat that...
The problem with Balochistan is that Govt have wrongfully tried to pacify these greedy and sell-out sardars, it is time to break their monopoly, it is time to bring all these Mengals, Murress and BUgties and other to the reality... and let the people of the globe know how these people are creating hurdle when Govt is trying to develop the area, let them get declared as known terrorists, If Qadafi can be killed for killing feww hundred, if Bashar ul Asad can face war for killing few hundreds then these sardars have killed generations and yes the some people are stupic enough to believe that these sardars have solution to the baloch issue.. no they won't because they are part of the problem, get rid of them, develop their areas using force and military, put up Universities and colleges and schools and shoot the local sardar if any of the staff of these facilities is abducted or killed... this way only one can solve baloch issue...
