It is unfortunate that we in the Land of Pure are not able to protect our minorities to the fullest extent. If they are being kidnapped for ransom or being forced to convert to Islam; the law enforcing agencies should take a serious note. We should not allow some thugs to go around freely and harass the Christian/Hindu communities.

MUMBAI: India’s Enforcement Directorate (ED) has confiscated eight properties and five parking spaces owned by Pakistan-origin singer Adnan Sami Khan under the Foreign Exchange Management Act.
This means that the same has become government properties.
The ED imposed a Rs2 million fine on the singer on the grounds that being a Pakistani national he was not allowed to acquire property in India.
Officials said that in 2003 Khan acquired eight immovable properties along with five parking spaces in Oberoi Sky Garden housing society at Lokhandwala in Andheri for a total consideration of Rs25.3 million.

Well from my experience I have to say some Pakistanis are filled with hatred towards other religions but they take offence when other people question their religion. I'm a Pakistani Christian and I know life is alright for minorities in tolerant and urban cities like Karachi but in the small villages most minorities are persecuted and living a life of hell.
Its sad to see what happened today, bearded mullahs crowded the streets and the whole country was shut down to appease them. They protested against repealing blasphemy law which Zia Ul Haq a dictator and a slave of Saudi Wahabis.

Any power must be an enemy of mankind which enslaves the individual by terror or force, whether it arises under a facets government. All that is valuable in human society depends upon the opportunity for development accorded to the individual.

Ok regarding kashmir ............ do you have answers for these questions about just one kashmiri?
1) Why is none of Geelani son out leading in any of the protests?
2) If Geelani is such a great leader why does he get treatment on the money of Indian Govt?
3) Why was Geelani taking MLA pension till 2008?
4) Why does Geelani not give a well defined plan which will not affect the economy of kashmir and the masses would be able to sustain the freedom movement?
5) Why does Geelani keep on changing his approach / statement on how should masses protest? sometime he supports stone pelting sometime he says protest peacefully?
6) Is education and economy not important for empowering a freedom movement?

Seventh day Adventists, St. Joseph/St. Patrick and many other schools/institutions in Karachi and not yet known to me in other parts of countries never shown ANY HATRED against christians. NEVER.
Also, besides M A Jinnah birthday celebration, Christmas has always been announced and officially recognized on TV in Pakistsn.
Christians are fellow religious people and equally respected.

I dont even think you know what secular means.. And I seriously doubt you have ever read anything on Jinnah. If you had, you would know that Jinnah wanted a country where religion had nothing to do with govt. He had a vision, that was SECULAR. Meaning a vision of a country that does not endorse a state religion.

Then I guess Christians were burning and destroying their own houses and lives in Gojra last year. There were no Mullahs on the loudspeaker telling their followers to kill every Christian in the area.
I already said cities like Karachi are very tolerant and was referring to small towns and villages.
Minorities will never be safe in Pakistan until the blasphemy law is repealed. Ahmadis have it worse in Pakistan, Zia's constitution openly discriminates them and they have been persecuted many times.
BTW please understand that Qaid e Azam and the other founding fathers never wanted religion to play a role in politics. Qaid e Azam was secular.
And secularism does not mean becoming an atheist!

These religious parties have only hurt Pakistan. They have continuously protected terrorists and Jamaat e Islami was the party that opposed the creation of Pakistan. They were the same people that called Pakistan bade names like Napakistan and Kafiristan.
