Re: Balanced Diet
Unless you are training for sports, I don't think it matters too much what proportion of your food is carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals.
Re: Balanced Diet
why do we have to eat.. ![]()
Re: Balanced Diet
K337…it all depends on what you are trying to achieve…gaining weight, losing weight, increasing muscle mass, maintaining weight etc. Once you figure that out only then you can come up with a diet plan.
I dont agree with that Arshad. I dont think one has to be training for sports for you to do this. You have to eat more of less of certain things depending on what you are trying to achieve.

Are you saying that an average housewife, instead of eating normal food should try to eat certain foods solely based on the number of protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamin and mineral that she might need?
Re: Balanced Diet
ohh well,, I will tell u what I do..
I exercise regularly.. eat everything but in small portions (excluding too much fatty food)..
I LOVEEE SWEETS,, soo I give myself a treat evry weekend.. and doo xtra exercise on the day I eat any sweets soo I can burn the calories..
Re: Balanced Diet

and i think i eat wayyyyyy tooo many carbs:hmmm:
so yea my diets NOT balanced:halo:
Re: Balanced Diet
what are you trying to say arshad…an average housewife cant’t workout or watch what she eats? ![]()
yes…even an “average housewife” depending on her weight gain/loss goals should eat certain amount of the above.
For example, diets high in protein helps burn fat, helps build muscle, and if one is trying to lose weight can curb appetite for longer periods of time. So if you are looking to achieve all or some of the the above mentioned…then a high protein diet is a must.
If she (or anyone else for that matter) has no goals then you can eat a normal diet.
Re: Balanced Diet
Yes she can workout and watch what she eats.
Are you saying that a woman needs to eat x amount of protein if she wants to lose weight? Losing weight is more about calories than eating protein AE.
Re: Balanced Diet
so list sme high protein foods. i know meat and dairy is protein but i know i cant get away w/ eating cheeseburgers.. ![]()
Re: Balanced Diet
The best way to determine a balanced diet plan is to first get a complete physical exam by your physician. Once you have established that you are "completely healthy" or that you have special conditions that need to be addressed such as family history of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, hypertension, etc., then you can chalk out a diet and nutrition guideline and a workable exercise routine.
Women of child bearing age have different needs than post menopausal women.
Men who work out have different requirements to aid their fat to muscle conversion ration.
People with family histories have separate issue.
etc. etc. etc.

I don't know much about yoga. Sits up are good. I do the ones with an incline bench. The streeper the incline the better it is. So my head is near the floor and my feet are towards the ceiling.
Re: Balanced Diet

Re: Balanced Diet
okay from what i've read and stuff.... situps and ab exercises will only help if you're doing enough cardioto actualy burn off the fat that's covering it.that's the best way to do it.
Re: Balanced Diet
Yes sit up won't reduce the fat, but just tone it. If you want to reduce fat then you need to do cardio.
Re: Balanced Diet
that's wht i just said.
