Baked Beans

I loved baked beans with a fried egg running into them and a potato scone or hash browns and an olive oil drizzled grilled tomato half on the side

So what is the best brand of baked beans you’ve tried?

Most commercial baked beans I have seen have pork in them, either pieces ya broth.

I simply buy the raw beans of all kinds...soak them and cook...no problem... :)

PS: Industrious food is more hazardous to your health...hmmmmmmmmm

Yes! Lets have a beans party. I love eating beans on toast, rice, pasta, roti/naan, tacos, nachos, salad, as side...pretty much any way.

I think baked beans are only good for when u r super-starving and can't be bothered to cook anything and want food fast.

Then you should serve them hot on a slice of buttered toast, topped with a slice of mild cheddar cheese, top them with baked beans and drizzle some encona hot pepper sauce on top.

The only way I like baked beans is when I fry them in little oil with onions, green chilles and coriander leaves.

^ How? U just take them out of a can and heat them up. Then u serve them with hash browns, fried egg, sausages, fried mushroom, tomatoes. That's called a full English breakfast (wel actually that includes bacon and black pudding too, but thats gross).

Okay, so I just recently discovered baked beans...am I weird?

I was in NJ and my sister's future inlaws had us over for breakfast. They had bagels, cream cheese, fried eggs, baked beans and other things. But I saw them eating baked beans on top of cream cheese on a bagel! I was soooo grossed out UNTIL I tried it.

I was missing out. And until I saw Nikki's thread, I also thought it was an NJ thing.

So other desi people eat baked beans too?

Can we also share ideas on how to have baked beans? Like what is everyone's favorite way?

My Brit parents do not have breakfast without heinz baked beans,

its fried egg, fried tomato and baked beans, mopped up with buttered bread!!

My fave was beans on toast with a little grated cheese melted, or baked beans with jacket potatoes
