guys, designers life is pretty hectic. i am not saying that what ever nomi ansari did was correct but we have to understand that after all designer is a designer. he/she is a designer cuz of their designs. but sometimes clients make their lives miserable. "yeh dalo wo na dalo"

i mean try to understand them.

i am not justifying nomi ansari, i am justifying myself. who knows i will be designer myself. so please bear with me. i am also an Insaan and inshaALLAH will remain one :o

^Zobia, this thread isn't to say that O.M.G, every designer out there is horrible and out to get us so whether you become one or not, that doesn't bother anyone. What matters in every profession, not just designing, is how you treat your clients/customers. If they are gonna provide good service, how will anyone even get a chance to complain? There are some really good ones out there as well, you can read alot of positive reviews about designers such as Bunto, Sobia Nazir, Dr. Haroon, Nilofer, etc.
Yes I agree that sometimes customers tend to get rude and very picky, they shouldn't cross the line. As a paying customer, they do have a right to give inputs/ideas, after all it should be their choice also. But I don't think that as long as someone is designing good clothes, he or she should be free to treat their customers whatever they feel like. There are hundreds of them out there, if I am choosing to spend my money, it's not only so I can good clothes, I am also looking to be treated nicely and with respect. If I am going to hear crap from someone who I am paying so much money to make something for me, I might as well go to someone else who does not have an attitude problem. I am not going to spend my hard earned money on someone who thinks he's god's gift to mankind. If he can make good clothes, I am sure there are many out there who can make even better stuff. As alot of people have said here, it's half about the clothes and half about the service.

There is absolutely no excuse for bad customer service. His reply to shay was completely unacceptable.

A client asking a designer to change things around in their outfit is their right as they are paying for the outfit and still doesn't make it ok for bad customer service. Also nomi ansari's reply to shay has nothing to do with her asking him to keep changing an outfit to her specs, he was just totally out of line.

And no I can't understand them. It's not only designers with clients, you have clients in every other profession for example banking that are making multimillion dollar deals that take more crap then these unprofessional designers (nomi ansari and hajra hayat) who are trying to sell a few hundred dollars worth of clothes, and still the bankers provide nothing short of excellent service.

Nilofer isn't rude
Faiza isn't rude..
Saadia Mirza isn't rude..

They encourage feedback and ask for opionions..they make the potential client comfy..

^ I wouldn't be so sure of Faiza; she, Umar Sayeed and Nickie and Nina are holding a fashion show today in London, but I couldn't get tickets :(

I wasn't able to go to the event, so I don't have any pics :(

It was held in the jumeirah carllton hotel in london - pretty lavish venue!

LOL! What did he do/say?. He's pretty nice but i would say very laidback otherwise he would have made a better name for himself.
