Bad experience with Hajra Hayat

Wow. Great effort!

Bringing this to the attention of the media is a great idea. :biggthumb
I can't believe what she did!! Even my mum would do a better job than this "top designer"

Re: my Wedding outfit from Hajra Hayat

I gotta add, her collections nothing special anyway

Re: my Wedding outfit from Hajra Hayat

everyone should join her facebook group and "be friends"...then leave comments/remarks uncovering her dirty, stinky ways!

muahahaha ;)

Dear Yasmin

While going through the forum, saw your post regarding the issue you faced, I am amused that some people have actually taken out time to get involved into something, which they do not even know in actual. People are commenting regardless of knowing that this is your exact order made to exact sizing; and the same color choice made by the bride Arfeen and the groom Samad Hammidi. It’s just the color, which “YOU” didn’t agree with. This made to order dress is a hard work of hundred of hours spent by our team. It is not our team that did not get it right; we have countless emails and facebook messages of Annie Kirmani to prove this color choice.

It is unfortunate that there are actual people out there who resort to cheap blows and unnecessary negative behavior instead of opting for the best choice to send the outfit back and reasonably discuss the changes you want, i.e. more work or even color change. However, that would be an extra huge effort from our side, which we are always willing to put in just to satisfy our client. This is something, which one cannot achieve by resorting to abusive emails and baseless threats like you have been sending since the day you received the outfit.

This is the final effort from our end to make you understand that when you change the colors either you give a color swatch or you expect the other perception.

We are working from 12 studios world over and selling to thousands of clients online, this by far has been our worst experience ever.

Regards,
Entire Team

Re: my Wedding outfit from Hajra Hayat

^ I don't mean to scare you, but this experience is going to get worse. A LOT of people have seen the '100s of hours of work' you've put into this dress and quite frankly, it's disgusting. It is in no way worth $1900. And you seem to think that the only complaint the client has is regarding the colour. Just to remind you, the material is cheap, the stiching is poor, the kaam in non-existant considering that this is a bridal jora, and NO bride would want to wear something as BLA as this on her valima.

And the people you are referring to, people like me, who "have actually taken out time to get involved into something, which they do not even know in actual." Well FYI, I'm not blind and nor am I ignorant to fashion. I saw the pictures, they speak a thousand words, and as I stated earlier, the outfit is horrific and I hope that in future, HH thinks twice about selling a piece of crap.

Re: my Wedding outfit from Hajra Hayat

i think the fact that u mentioned 'thousands of orders' is your answer right there...........you guys are into quantity not quality.........out to make as much money as possible in the shortest period of time. Good designers don't take on work if they cannot deliver what the customer is paying for.

Do you seriously think that outfit is worth $1900.........seriously???? Did your team really think the customer would be happy with it.

That outfit hardly has ANY kaam on it to be classified as a formal outfit let alone a bridal outfit.. once again I don't think the only issue is color! Even from the pic u can see that the material is of really low quality and so is the kaam..the dress looks incomplete!

ANY bride would throw a fit if she received that in the mail instead of the original outfit.. the stiching is coming out from the seams.. and the kaam doesn't even sit well on the border. I feel for the girl who spent that much and had to purchase another outfit since the one sent by HH was terrible! Would u wear it to u're valima?

Re: my Wedding outfit from Hajra Hayat

Seriously!! It isnt "only" about the colour!! The outfit is NO WAY looks like a bridal jora and does not look like it is worth even half the price she paid for it!!

Wow! What's more awful than the dress is their customer service; it's just disgusting and shameless.

I have no idea how 'designers' such as these actually get any recognition. There is nothing great about HH, not her designs, not her delivery, and definitely not her customer service team comprised of ignorant people that don't have any people-skills.

Re: my Wedding outfit from Hajra Hayat

Who's yasmin?

You can say that again!

Re: my Wedding outfit from Hajra Hayat

yasmin is the future mother in law of the girl who ordered the dress. (and to add to the unprofessional behaviour, she actually used her client’s real names and posted them on a public forum with no regard to their privacy! wtf.)

also, i’m SO glad they posted that email here! they received it this morning and were completely flabbergasted at the response! as many of you have pointed out, she a) is assuming everyone at GS is a moron, and b) that color is the only thing wrong with it! over and over, they have emailed them, and received similar responses where they refuse to acknowledge the missing purse (a fabric batwa they charged 10,000 rupees for!), the horrible fabric, the cheap quality kaam, the bad stitching, etc.

Re: my Wedding outfit from Hajra Hayat

just a thought....some of you mentioned that keeping this thread going will make the search result higher on google. Thats true, but when you click on the thread, you're directed to the very first page, and there's no real indication until the second page that anyone had a very bad experience with HH.

Maybe the moderators could split the thread into "bad experience with hajra hayat" or something so thatthe minute someone clicks on the link from google, they will be able to see the work or read about what happened. I just have a feeling that some people might not go past the first page on this thread if directed from a search engine...

Re: my Wedding outfit from Hajra Hayat

^yeh ur right. Good point. Hopefully the mods can do something?

sgc, do you think you could do it?

Re: my Wedding outfit from Hajra Hayat

i could! good point!

yayy! :balley:

we should just make sure the search Hajra Hayat is in the title of the thread so it still comes up on google

oh hello Rabeela!

So kind of you to email, our issue with the dress, as you keep on saying every time "we cannot understand what the problem from the pictures is".

Well here is the problem listed I don’t know how you can say that the color is an issue, the colors is one of the several issues, even on Palings people are horrified that this outfit is a replica of HHB-3.

You keep on saying or as Hajra Hayat the reputable designer keeps on insisting is the exact replica of HHB-3.

What does replica mean a ditto copy right. So how is a Georgette Duppatta vs. a Silk Duppata a replica. You sent us a GEORGETTE DUPPATA!! That had appliqué and not shaded the say it is shaded in HHB-3. Please also note that the kaam is also completely different. Notice the borders of HHB-3 and what you send us. You keep on telling is that this is the replica. Now are you telling me that a reputable fashion house does not know the difference between Georgette and Silk. That the materials used are the exact same! Secondly notice please how the shading is done in HHB-3 and how this product is shaded completely different. Please Rabeela now answer me if there is a difference in what we received or not.

Second of all the colors agreed upon were ferozi and gold and after Afreen had spoken with Hajra on the phone she wanted Ferozi accents also, not ferozi and gold in appliqué, HHB-3 there is no appliqué. Also the shirt in HH B-3 had way more Kaam then this shirt. In HHb-3 the kaam is on 3 parts of the shirt in what you send to us there is one tiny Triangle on the neckline of the shirt. there is no Triangle on either side as HHB-3. Please Rabella now you answer how this is the exact replica.

Thirdly look at the kaam on the pictures, such poor quality the kaam on the gote of the gharara is also crooked!! CROOKED, it’s untidy and it’s obvious it’s untidy! It doesn’t look clean. If the local kamwala does this maybe I will understand thinking he hired some new guy to do it. What is your excuse, you have seen the picture now and trust me when Afreen tried it on it looked from afar that uhoh something is not right. The dhagas/threads on the gharara are coming out. Come on this has only been tried once for 5 minutes.

Yes naturally when anyone who sees this jora is amazed that it is made by Hajra Hayat.

We saw your designs on Facebook , Saw all the pictures on your website naturally we expected a very professionally made outfit.

In our entire experience with you our whole argument was that you have not given what we ordered. Not once has your team apologized that you made a mistake yes it’s not a replica you keep on insisting it is. Where is the pouch that we paid extra for?

The Bride had discussions with Hajra and Hajras final email before the jora was posted that it is an exact replica.

Well you think this is the worst experience well you have no idea how terrible this has been for us.

WE are not going to get this outfit redone at our own expense. There has been enough money spent on this product.

If you claim as you say go the extra mile for your clients then you can either refund us the money and we will gladly send this back I will be more than happy to mail it to Farhat Mirza your person in Canada OR send us another outfit matching the calibre of your dresses.

We will be very happy to talk about this and share this with everyone if we are either refunded or sent something else. If not well the unpleasantness will remain because we feel we have been cheated and you obviously feel that you have done your best, you claim that you have sent us the replica and of course silk and georgette are the same thing so of course if you are not ready to change your stance what can we do.

As far as having 13 studios and all that, well what should matter to you is that people who visit those studios are happy with your product, there are people there to service them. In the west there is a rule in customer service "The customer is always right". When we order stuff from Gap online or Armani we get the exact product. If we order a silk shirt we get the silk shirt not a Wool shirt. This is the difference. Obviously we ordered from Hajra Hayat thinking we will get something on an international level, not like the local kamwala in liberty market where we would have to haggle and argue etc.

hey
afreen ur jora has turned out amazing and before dispatching it lets go over things again ,
ur gharara is gold zari fabric with pattis of lilac and ferozi , on the base , then theres ferozi patti on the ghrara knees .
the dupatta was looking very bland in all ferozi color so I’ve stuck to how it is on the original meaning centre gold with ferzoi shading on the borders then having ferozi and lilac patti on the 4 sides
then having lilac contrast edging on it on shirt duapptta and gharara(to bring it tighter )
the shirt being ferozi with gold patti on all sides

the whole set is exactly how it is in the picture

I’ve seen the whole family being involved which is great :)
so to avoid any disappointments I wud appreciate if this mail is fwd. to all
concerned .

any stitching contrasts can be suggested now
cheers

Salaamz Hajra!

That’s GREAT news! I'm so excited! Everything you wrote sounds perfect and it’s exactly what we had in mind, especially me. There are 2 last things I really wanted you to add --on the dupatta-- underneath the borders of the dupatta can u add a contrast fabric patti underneath? maybe gold or lilac. Whatever you think would look good.

also is it possible to have a matching pouch with this jora?

I've also forwarded our e-mails to my mother-in-law, Annie and Samad.

I'm looking forward to see the outcome of this jora! Thank you for everything you've done so far :)

Love, Afreen

This is what I think happened the client had an entirely different concept in mind from what they actually order. HH-B-3 is a very soft looking, decent bridal with no extra ordinary bling to it. But it is a much understated subtle looking outfit which has more resham then zari work.

To further prove our point of view we have requested a client Shabahat to share her pictures on the forum, who had the same order in the same month of December and she is also from United States. Her pictures are also all over her profile with same outfits HH-B-3. Those who care to see these pictures can check her in our friend’s list. There you will see 100% resemblance to Annie Kirmani’s order (there was never a pouch confirmed and no payment for it received).

This is what they should have done:

There was never a need to be abusive, insulting and threatening as it is a simple matter of ordering something online, not understanding your order completely and then not liking the end product. It is not the case of order being wrong, a simple polite message stating “we do not like what we had ordered, we had something else in mind, we apologize for the inconvenience caused, but would appreciate if we could get this outfit re-do or a new outfit made”.

This would have been a simpler and more decent way to handle the matter.

Much Regards,
