i've noticed in quite a few instances where gupshup links appear when you search for a designers name in google. Even if you type Hajra Hayat, you'll notice a few gupshup links in the top 5 hits returned.
At some point, I think this thread will appear as a link at the top in google searches, if it is used enough. So if in the future someone wants to order from her and they search her name in google, they'll come across this thread instantly and think twice before parting any cash- Isn't that great????
So as long as we keep this thread alive and running, i'm sure it will get listed towards the top of google searches - Isn't search engine optimisation wonderful!
^ unfortunately you can only tag someone once on FB... but i hope it showed up in her newsfeed the time she was tagged so all her friends could see it. someone needs to post these pics in her own FB group...
zigs: good point!
also, they offered finally to redo the outfit, but honestly, given how bad their first try was, what guarantee is there that the second time around will be any better? i think a refund is in order.
Wow, this is serious isnt it? I have a picture of a Hajra Hayat outfit that I wanted for my sister's wedding...its a very very light bridal that she has but now...I dont think so. I dont trust her!
PF, she offered to redo it but as i mentioned, whats the point? after this trash, how are we supposed to know if the outfit that is going to be re-sent is going to be any better? i mean, if she didn't do it right first time around, why bother now? you know?
oh and also, she only offered to redo it after about 15 emails to her staff. then someone woman named rabeela responded with the no refund bull.
was it someone here or in another thread who offered to help esteemedone out with a lawsuit against the designer who messed with her? could that person please PM me? i'd really appreciate the help!

SGC i think it was someone in the "shahnawaz photographers" thread, some guppan shared her experience with Shahnawaz, that he lost her wedding pics something like that.... in that thread ( as far as i think) someone asked her to suit a case against the shahnawaz, pl look up in that thread for "that" person. i hope i helped :)
but this is so sad... i m amazed, y the designers dont do justice to their so called Big Names.... bad bad Hajra Hayat.... so so bad of her to do this to some poor girl on her wedding... i really feel sorry

I would like to speak up about my experience with them. They did re-do my clothes and the stitching was much better 2nd time. If there is no refund, I would recommend getting the outfit redone. I was very happy with my re-do. No reason to feel like you have thrown your money away especially if they are willing to re-do. Issue is return shipping charges to get it there.

no, no. i meant "fix" as in reimburse! i can't believe that she is being so stubborn!
I wrote this e-mail to the editor of Sunday Times. Let's hope she responds...I'll let you guys know:
Hi Mariam,
I read your magazine weekly and must say it's something I look forward to every week.
I wanted to ask if you could bring some attention to an issue that a lot of us living abroad are facing. On Paklinks Forum titled Gupshup, you'll see many threads on experiences people have had with various designers from Pakistan. Some stories are quite horrific and within our online Gupshup community, we are noticing more and more instances of fraud/deception/poor product/bad customer service/failure to deliver... from Pakistani designers...i.e. ROUGE and HAJRA HAYAT. There is very little that people living abroad can do after they've been ripped off. Hope fully some media attention and awareness of this issue can help make the situation better.
I was hoping that sometime in the future your group can do a feature on the current state of this matter and how it's affecting clients living abroad.

Hope to hear from you soon!
Thank you so much for doing this!!!! I hope the editors look at it and take some action
i doubt Sunday Daily Times will do anything, since I think they featured Hajra Hayat this week…and I bet its a matter of keeping their relationships with these designers.
on another note, Sunday Daily Times was promoting a thing called Essays Pakistan, which they said “helps” students with admissions essays. Isnt this plain out wrong? It sounds like they will just write the essay for you! I dont understand that at all…
if you write to the editor of xpose fortnightly, andaleeb rana, they are more likely to investigate/publish. i think they are into cleaning up the fashion industry etc and are not scared of designers. other pub;ications like libas/sunday mag rely so heavily on ads that i doubt they will do anything
