^that is pure horror. i wouldn't even wear it on a normal day, forget my valima. heck, i wouldn't even accept it even if it was free. that's nothing but a lame excuse for a dress.

Just looking at the pics alone, without knowing the story behind it, its not so bad actually. But for hte price, no way...
What is wrong with Hajra, that outfit is a joke!!! Noo it doesnt look like the picture, no doesnt look like a valima jora for a bride, no it doesnt look like its worth $1,900 --not even half that!! Especially the dupatta --how can HH pretend that is a bridal dupatta??
Your poor friend, how totally horrified she must have been to receive this in the mail. I do hope she was able to find something else to wear!!

sara, that's the thing- i might not wear it or my friend's sis in law, but maybe someone might wear it somewhere for eid or another occasion, but it HURTS thinking she charged them $1900 for it!!!
also, its so far from the picture she shows on her website. thats the other pissy there here-- at least acknowledge you didn't make the outfit as shown in the picture. she keeps insisting she's made a perfect replica.
midnight eyes, she spent another $1000 and thankfully scored a lehenga that she loves from some lady in mississauga.

OMG....... I am so very sorry for your friend. What a horrible horrible rip-off. To pay SO MUCH and not get even HALF of what one would expect...... HH should be ashamed. I'm very glad your friend at least found a replacement she likes. At least the wedding day isn't ruined. Perhaps she can get like a salwar made, and maybe mix and match the outfits so that she can do 2-3 suits out of it? Still overpriced..... but at least it won't be just 1 thing anymore?

I can't believe they did this with you. I really feel for you. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us as this has stopped me from placing an order with them or trusting any site to place order on. Now I will just go myself and get their clothes copied from my own tailors. :)
The pic you wanted looks nothing like the one they sent you. They clearly use cheap imitations and knock-offs and cheat their customers! These big designers look for cheap tailors to make their clothes when they get a lot of orders. Certain clothes have to have special techniques of stictching on them...and these techniques are unknown to local tailors - and they create a mess and the clothes come apart after a single wear.
Are they refusing to take the outfit back and refund you?
my friend's mom was understandably upset and horrified, and sent off an email asking for a full refund since the dress is so completely unacceptable. this was HH's response:
"We have made 100% of the original god knows only what u were imaging
We r very consious of our work from the fabric to the packing if dhl customs has ruined its packing we r not to be blamed and we have sent u our logo ed hanger bag so why this stabbing plx go ahead and put ur views where ever u want along with pictures of this product as we have all the data to back us up Before we all loose it to unneccassary comments plx inform us of one solid reason u think this product is different from the original We r still here to hear any logical complaint u have as I personally have double checked everything from ainne samad and arfeens emails

seriously???? this is how a designer corresponds with an upset client??? i'm speechless.
b2b, they paid with western union. the price was set to 1 lakh 10,000, and then she upped it to 1 lakh, 20,000 rupees halfway through the process. -- i found out the price was upped because my friend's sis in law to be requested a thicker kaam patti on the outfit and a matching pouch.
zigs, i know, i feel horrid! now they have to go hunting for another jora. and the sad part is, bunto is my friend's father's cousin- the choice was between her making an outfit and HH making an outfit and
The letter they sent you is so unprofessional and tacky. First of all they need to be taught basic English grammer...or at least use spell-check! You can't write tacky letters like that!
They are pure cheats for not taking the outfit back and giving a refund.

oh my god that outfit does not look anything like the picture i am amazed that such a popular and well known designer can do this to people abroad Hope she finds something better off to wear on her big day.

I think girls over here should stick to our Gupshup desginers like pakfairy ,Prototype ,stylobabe etc instead of those big names .
I am feeling sorry for your friend and totally agree with you that the dress does not look like a bridal jora from anywhere . more like a cotton ghararra a guest will wear on someone's wedding .and she charged way TOO MUCH .
why not pay less and get the desgin copy from gs girls or someone else ?

HH has refused to acknowledge that she has sent anything but what is in the picture. she's insisting she saw the outfit before it was sent off and she's 100% satisfied with the quality. she hasn't apologised ONCE to my friend nor has she submitted the receipt for the DHL payment which she said she would to prove that it cost $130 (none of us can believe a 2 lb package would cost that much). we've asked repeatedly for a refund, and she's refused it.

I know someone who took a very famous Pakistan designer to court and an out of court settlement was agreed on.

for those who are saying it looks fine and HOT....please try paying 1900 US from ur own pocket and wear this to your walima and then you would know how it feels like.
The outfits looks like a joke....specially the fabric and emblishments.....it looks as though some amature has done the job in a hurry. I can even see the marks and streches.....

SGC, i feel awful for your friends and their sis-in-law. this is a special time for them and to have HH ruin it is unacceptable.
