Inspiron, Don't give out too many details, what if the person in question is also a gs member and reads this thread and recognizes you?...btw how intensive are these interviews that your dad is conducting with the groom to be. Some dont like all the grilling and are put off by all the probing questions asked by the future father in law... I think now that your families have agreed that you two should meet up, hopefully even a few meetings will clear many questions in your mind and indeed his too. hope all goes well for you iA.

very true missFreudian! I have to be careful about how much info i put up here.

My dad was pretty direct but wasnt rude. The guys family remained happy and said yes to me and the boy getting to know eachother so they didnt mind at all!

I guess i just have to judge by talking to him!

IMHO, it is big turn off. your dad supposed to talk in general manner and asked key information in the middle of conversation so guy could feel comfortable.

nobody like interview kind of meeting. **

he asked directly over dinner about the guys visa, job prospects and what the guy is not prepared to compromise on if anything why should my dad be unclear and get an unclear answer??

If the guy was fine and wasnt turned off whats the issue?
