Maybe get an E-mail address for him and mobile number, google the mobile number/landline and email address and put it through facebook.

Some quick pointers ....
1)** Meet the guy & his family (90% of the time you can tell by there style of eating & talking in how much "pani" they are) ** 4) His Friends & Work Colleagues ( they can be best source for the current info on the guys lifestyle, etc..etc.)
5) Ask close family members about the guy & his family in not so suspicious way.
this. ^ and just pray to Allah .... nothing much more you can do when it comes to marriage.... no matter how much background checks you go through, you cannot tell anything about the person until you start living with that person... even after living together you go through different phases ...
if background checking would have been that important then i think people getting married inside their families should never have been defrauded or divorced.
.....anyways .....getting married is not hard, but making it successful is.....

Ask him his email id, search over facebook, twitter.. etc. Again background check get you all this information.
Why i am suggesting Background Check again n again. .is ..you can get:
1) Criminal Records
2) Financial Liabilities
3) Any Fraud/Drugs/DWI etc..etc
4) Education / Work Information

Im not sure how to answer your question aside from making sure you do your best to get to know them and find out as much as you can.
LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc all over some basic insight into someone's life.

Another serious question ...
How did you come by a family who are completely unknown? Why would you entertain an unknown family for a rishta? Surely, someone knows them ... an introducer or someone similar ... find their local Imam, find out if they are known ... if not find out from their neighbours. Look at their behaviour with their neighbours and others they meet.
If all is a miss then ask them questions that will lead you to identify independent parties ... if you're luck you might be able to find common friends - Most Muslims in the UK have no more than 3 degrees of separation - i.e. if you look at your network of Muslim friends the chances are that by the time you are at the end of the list of their friend's friend's friends you will have covered the nation's Muslim population.

Well the mum of the boy met my khala at a dawat/dars in pakistan got talking and then somehow came about that it is possible me and this boy could be suited to eachother.
My khala then took their number and passed it on to my parents. The boy himself is in england and parents in pakistan. My mum and dad spoke to his parents numerous times on the phone and my dad met the boy alone twice and also the parents alone twice. Then i have met the mum and dad and boy twice.
The mum and dad live in karachi/dubai. The boys sister in america, the boys brother in kuwait and the other brother in karachi.
From talking to them- they have been honest about a previous engagement and been really nice and open with us.
He is not lying about his education that came up clearly on google.
However i mean i feel like i need to do more research but its proving hard!

Noo i seriously cannot find him ive spelt his name like all different ways
Google confirms his qualifications thats pretty much it!
I actually have nothing to be suspicious of they are a really nice famiily and were open and honest about previous engagement of his but its better to be safe than sorry!

Did you look for him on Facebook with his email address and not just his name?
You could try finding his siblings on there and then do some digging.. At least one of them must be on it.. Might just be that his name is abbreviated or something and then when u see his brother or sister's facebook it'll become clear..
Also, perhaps meet him up near where he lives if possible? Check out the area and see what his friends reactions are to you.. If he's hiding something he prob wouldn't want you anywhere near them lol..

most of my cousins in pak have facebook now and when they didn't they had something called orkut or something...check and see if he's on there? or if you meet up with him and things go well maybe you can start talking to him and see if he gives you info? I dnot' know why I"m giving you advice considerig Im stressing about the exact same thing. This guy HAS a facebook and it's private w/ no female cousins added so I have no way of finding anything besides his school info through google.

Okay so i found him and all i can see is a profile picture atleast the profile picture isnt like of him drunk in some club with his face in some womans breasts :)

Search his exact facebook name in google using speech marks, usually that shows posts he's made on other peoples walls etc.
