I’m still a newbie here but joined the forums a few months ago and these last 2 months was unable to add any comments( only read lol) here cos I was in Pakistan and for some reason the net there didn’t want me to be able to log in lol.
Anyway, i just got back a few days ago after 10 weeks in Pakistan with my husband and feel really low.
The dull and grey english weather isn’t helping methinks. I’m also trying and hoping hard to find a job ( to get my hubby over here) but feel really crappy.
I really miss my husband :(. This time last year I’d just got married and experienced the same feelings on being back home. And eventually I started to feel better buuuut right now, I just feel low low low. I miss Pakistan and my lovely family there, but mostly i miss my mian :(. Any advice or comforting words much appreciated lol.

Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low :(
Lol i did sponsor him but my bid was rejected and now we're waiting on an appeal date. It should be next month InshAllah.
We've been apart more than we have together and it sucks :(.
2 weeks?! Now i'm jealous lol. Seriously you're lucky :)
I had part time work before you see, and it wasn't enough hence the rejection. So now I'm looking hard for full time work, please take a moment and do a small dua that i'll find one soon :)!
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low :(
Aww.. Im sorry for you sazzie. This must be really hard. All i can suggest you is have long fone talks with him. Arrange web cam. That should also make you feel close to him.. And above all, try harder to bring him there with you. All the best :)
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low :(
inshallah, i hope it works out for you! one of my friends recently got nikkahed and then married a year later to this guy in pak. guess what? the pakistani embassy and us embassy keep playing catch catch with his passport. they have had it for over a year now! both of them were suppose to come back together after their wedding last jan, and she ended up coming back by herself because no passport for the hubby. she graduated this past dec and went back to stay with him there till it comes back. she missed him so much!
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low :(
wow ... intercontinental marriages r tough ... keeping my fingers crossed over US :)
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low :(
my wifey had no problem coming over...
just make sure all the docs are in order and tell the truth!
dont con them!
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low ![]()
hey guys whats up
can i know which country are u talkin abt
i dont have any marriage experience and might not get any for long time. . .
so i cant even imagine how u feel sazzie
i got 2 examples: kind of similar
my cosin got married to a girl in canada; it took almost a year for him to get over to canada and guess what, girl came to pick him up at the air port, in the car while driving home, she said she is in love with some one else and he s got to divorce her.![]()
I can imagine how pain full that would hv been for my cosin, cause he was so desperate to get to her because they spent the whole year on the phone talkin like love birds, all the sudden every thing vanished like a dream.
one of my best friends got married in canada last year, he is still waiting for the process to finish. In his case he is hope full things wont turn out like my cusin.
In ur case sazzie I m really glad to see the love for ur husband and it helped me to minimize the hatred for overseas pakistani girls.
Why dont u move to pakistan and live happily with ur husband, its like the best place on earth. Money is not everything. it cant buy you love of ur family and values of ur culture. I hv seen the ****ty lives of overseas pakistanis and i cant understand why are they living that life. just for money i guess
what ever
i pray for u and ppl like u(my friend) that Allah help u get through this pain full period quickly and easily.
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low ![]()
i haven’t seen my fiance for almost 2 years ![]()
i feel your pain…so you have an option of going back to pakistan to live with him, dont you?
may Allah solve our problems ameen

Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low :(
Okay, these are some scary stories. It takes about a year for a guy to come to Canada?????????? I heard the average time was six months and the earliest was about 4 months.
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low ![]()
Thankyou mirage
we do have web chats, and last year we’d talk loads on the phone, but with my part time wages it got quite expensive so we had to cut it! We text a lot too, but its really not the same :(. I know i’ll feel better in a week or so (inshAllah) but for now the pains quite raw. it’s really weird to think i was with him just a few days ago.
shay9164 i hope your friend’s hubby gets his passport back! the pakistani embassy are quite rubbish from my experiences lol so i feel for her!
STONECOLD i deffo am not gonna lie lol. theres a guy that lived near my hubby who got married after us to a british girl. and she had fake payslips made up and the guy got his visa
. before he got it though, they were told to show proof of having spent time together after marrying, so they went off for the day to Lahore and took a camera lol. it sucks!
Lafanter - lol why do you hate overseas pakistani girls. have you met them all? i dont think i could live in pakistan right now. maybe in the future but not now. my family are quite conventional and unless you’re a female under 14, theres not much for us to do there i found! plus i dont speak urdu or punjabi, so i’d feel quite isolated living there. maybe one day in the future when i’ve learnt urdu! eh thankyou for your duas :)!
bisoux - 2 years? how come? yep may Allah solve our problems ![]()
mizzrani - im trying v.hard to get a job, if i have no luck in the next few weeks i’ll contact you
)
thanks aminas
I’m in Nottingham. i wanted to find something in admin but now i’ll take just about anything lol
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low :(
good luck to you . i know it's hard to live like that :)
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low ![]()
sigh long story but see at least you get to see him sazzie ![]()
and dont worry it won’t take long inshallah
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low ![]()
you dont speak WTH
u really a pakistani?, i think only thing paki u got is a passport and parents, now hubby tooo,
lol - u got a british soul in u lol
well i can tell u a very cheap way to make unlimited calls:hypo:
trick is ur hubby:wub: has to call u(free calls for 3 months), u cant call ur hubby in pak or it ll cost some money like 1000 mins in 1 pound:smokin:.
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low :(
It is cheaper for ppl in pakistan to call us than for us to call them.
Re: Back home from Pakistan and feeling low :(
erm it works out the same actually it is cheaper here , in my engagment days which are thankfully over now :) i spent crazy money at first i used to buy a 5 pound card nearly everyday i spent all my money on cards coz we js went crazy talking .. naya naya pyaar tha haha bt then they invented one pound cards such as power , wild card and green card .. power n wild r nt dt good will give u 40 mins . bt greencard if used in one go widout hanging up will give an hour and half exaclty ... obviosuly this made my life easier.
whereas in pakistan u cn gt call mate which is 100 rupees for half an hour, and it hardly gives u half an hour . also there r others bt still works out to b cheaper in UK.
GOSSIP is also a good calling card.
also sazzie fake payslips r prolly the best option for u too. like if u hve a family business or sum relatuve runnin a shop u cud pay them n dey cud provide u wid 3 months payslips. i hve seen many cases like these. and they hve actually worked. i wudnt say it is wrong bcuz some of those girls js cnt find work so they pay sum uncle runnin a shop and he cn gt payslips made bt the rest of the docs hve to b genuine.
bt good luck neway
