erm it works out the same actually it is cheaper here , in my engagment days which are thankfully over now :) i spent crazy money at first i used to buy a 5 pound card nearly everyday i spent all my money on cards coz we js went crazy talking .. naya naya pyaar tha haha bt then they invented one pound cards such as power , wild card and green card .. power n wild r nt dt good will give u 40 mins . bt greencard if used in one go widout hanging up will give an hour and half exaclty ... obviosuly this made my life easier.
whereas in pakistan u cn gt call mate which is 100 rupees for half an hour, and it hardly gives u half an hour . also there r others bt still works out to b cheaper in UK.
Lafanter - lol you think wrong im afraid. im brit born with pakistani roots. ok how does hubby get these free calls then?
Sara516 - yep it is. whilst i was there, there was a card that gave 70 mins for 100 rupees. havent come across any offers like this here lol. has anyone heard of a card called Smile though? thats supposed to give you an hour apparently and its a pound.
mizzrani - i dont know, i dont tihnk i could fake payslips, it'd stay on my conscience as being dishonest and i'd prefer to have my husband here honestly.

INSHALLAH soon i am goin 2 send his papers please pray 4 me that they will accept his papers

Sazzie - have you considered submitting a fresh application? New applications for spouse settlement visas should get processed in under 12 weeks (my husband got his within 8 weeks), the key is to provide all the proper paperwork. You don't have to withdraw your appeal and can have that running alongside the fresh application so even if, god forbid, your second application were to also be refused then you wouldn't have lost anything.....well apart from the application fee of course.
As long as you can prove that you and your husband can live here independentley without any financial support from the state then it doesn't matter if you work part time or full time or even work at all. If you have parents who are financially stable and are willing to provide all the necessary documents to prove it then there's no reason why the embassy can refuse the application on those grounds. Good luck with your job hunt and if you want to get started working asap then why not join a temping agency in order to start earning and getting payslips right away.
I would advise against doing what a previous poster has suggested about getting fake payslips. It's illegal and dishonest and if you're going to go to all the effort and expense of having gorged payslips made up then why not just go out and work properly?

Hope it all works out in the end.
Hi Brit Chick, there isnt goig to be an appeal now i'm afriad. my idiot of a solicitor didn't file the appeal in time so now i have no choice but to make a fresh application. Was really upset and hubby was too but trying to stay positive.
I've got a job interview this tuesday, and also applying to other places.
The temp agency, wont the embassy try and make out that temping work isnt stable and theres no guarantee as to whether i'll get a job after one ends? i dont really have much experience (actually, none lol)of temping agencies, but i'm willing to try it!

DAMNNNNN i told u to be carefull
but anyways inshallah wotever is in ur kismat
no the embassy wont make a deal out of temping work as long as it temping bt fulll time like 9 - 5 mon to fri and u earn an average of 800 per month or above.
i was tem, ping tooo my contract was for 11 months bt i was doing full time and there was no problem
so inshallah this wont b a problem.
dont worry atleast u have sumfin to look forward too.
No, they can't refuse you on the grounds that you are temping cos even if you were to get a permanant jon, odds are that you'd probably be within a probationary period for around six months anyway. As long as you can prove that the work is regular and the money is enough to live in then it's fine.
It's a shame that you're out of time for filing an appeal, theoretically you could still go ahead and appeal out of time on the grounds that it wasn't your fault that you missed the deadline but getting it accepted might be more hassle than it's worth.
Feel free to PM me with a list of your supporting documents when you come to making the actual application in due course, I don't specialise in immigration law but know enough about it and have been through the process myself.
