baby weight!!people hate!!!

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

No wher does it say hat she is 5 5" and 180 lbs. The problem usually is when one is 5 5" and 135 lbs and people are slamming her because she is not 125 like before baby. Tired of "well meaning aka rude people " barging into your life. Where should you stop?" Don't spend too much money save more for your kids eduaction." Buy a bigger house and wear cheaper clothes to pour into mortgage." Take more care of your in laws, I do much better then you.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Honestly if someone is 300 lbs the last thing they deserve is sensitivity, for their own good.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Sensitivity issue is raised as an excuse to blame others for not doing the right thing.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

No, its raised when people think ke agar moon diya hai Allah Tala ne to uska poori tarha se istimaal karna zaroori hai. Matlab jo dimagh mein aye, fauran kehdo. This is wrong and yes its considered bad manners. Mujhe agar haat diye hein Allah Tala nein to iska matlab ye nahin ke mein sabko thappar marti phiroon.

If you feel someone is obese or overweight, you can approach them privately, talk to them in a nice manner or if you really care...work out with them. Try to actively help them rather than just open your mouth not knowing how hard it is for the other person.

The OP is actually trying hard to lose weight, she has had a thread open in HF for a while now discussing her progress. The last thing a trying person needs is to be told "omg, you're so fat you're not fitting into your pre-shaadi clothes! hayye hayye". All it does is discourage.

Have some class.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Who knows how it was really said to her, but all we know by first two posts, sadly OP is too sensitive.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

I just picked out an average female height and how much one would need to weigh to have a BMI of 30, which is the start of clinical obesity.

It just highlights the fact that people don't really know or want to accept that you don't need to be seriously huge for your weight to adversely effect your health.

As for the OP, loosing weight is something she has opened threads about since pre shaadi days. If my memory is right, it wasn't a matter of 10 pounds then either.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

What s the point of constantly telling someone they are overweight when they already acknowledge they are?

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

I agree with Sahar. Most women after pregnancy are already aware of the weight gain and are very emotional. I went through that because I was very skinny when I got pregnant. People don't understand that you can't diet when you are breastfeeding a baby and can't exercise a lot because the body is healing. It takes time to get the weight off so if anything people should be supportive towards the women that is trying to get rid of her pregnancy weight.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Pakistani mentality is like that - like when we used go on holiday - intially some of them are like - Oh you look fat, and then after a few weeks - as you loose weight out there anyway - you look so much smarter (their word for slim) then you first came. Its like thaaaankssss techincally I wasn't over weight before. slaps them with a fish

Stress causes build of fatty acids and makes your fat cells grow - so relax and go at it on your own speed. Half a stone in 4 months is commendable, especially with a new born too - you won't even know it and it will all be gone. Continue to eat healthy and exercise and not to worry, be confidant, you are better than everyone else, with that mentality no one can put you down.

You could also say - well I may have more weight - cos I had a baby, but whats your excuse??

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Kudos to all of you who stick up for manners!!
