Re: Baby girl names :)...

would it be Day-nia or Dania with a hard D or a soft D where you live?

what about Zara?

Re: Baby girl names :)…

Soft D is how the name shpuld be pronounced… Dhaa-niyaAnd thankfully, for once, detards (danish retards) would pronounce it like its meant to be…so it could work… :hoonh:Zara is nice and short too…dad really wants me to call her that… But its so not a WOW name…

Re: Baby girl names :)…

i like the name… can anybody plz give me any link where i can reconfirm the meaning…

Re: Baby girl names :)...

About the name Eesha.......are you sure that it means sakoon/chain/rahat? There is this one website with Muslim names and the meanings that are listed for some of the names don't sound right. Like for one name they'll give two definitions such as "wise" and "beautiful"....and wise and beautiful have nothing to do with one another. It's good to verify.

I don't know the meaning of Eesha but I have heard the name......and it seems like a variant of Aisha. For example Farah, Farhan, Farhana, Farhat......all mean happiness/joy. The name Aisha means living/alive/life, etc. So, it's possible that Eesha (if it's a variant of Aisha) may have a similar meaning. I'm not saying that I'm right....i"m just guessing here.

You have to be careful with the meanings of names that are listed on some of these websites because it's sometimes easy to tell that the meaning is "made up" or exaggerated. Like Inaya for example.........maybe it means gift.......but does it really mean a gift from GOD (in particular) or just a gift in general?

Re: Baby girl names :)...

I like the name Inaayah (meaning "Gift from God") (as oppossed to Inaya which means Care/concern) but I'm biased as that's my daughters name.

I also like the names Maimunah/Mayymunah (I think it means "blessing") and Ayaana (not sure of meaning)

Re: Baby girl names :)...
