Any of you had someone guess and it turned out true… We are a bit away from the ultrasound that tells us…but i’m just dying to know what we are having so I can start calling the baby that…
Any old wives tricks that turned out right for you… I tried doing the ring on the chain thing but I might not be doing it right…

Everybody said I was going to have a girl cause I was gigantic and very wide.
What they say is that if your stomach sticks straight out, it’ll be a boy. If you grow wider, it’ll be a girl. If the baby sits on your sciatic nerve, it’ll be a boy.

My baby sticks straight out. From the back you can't tell I'm pregnant, but boy do I look pregnant from the side! Still, an early ultrasound showed a girl. Baby better behave this week so we can get some confirmation!

Automne, what are your feelings towards orange juice these days?
With my girl I was fine drinking OJ but when I was pregnant with my son I could not even stand the smell of it let alone drinking it. Ofcourse it's not a sure way to tell but thought I'd share.

^ OMG! That's interesting! I have had such OJ cravings (high pulp only!). And I've never been an orange juice fan. Interesting. I assumed it was because of vitamin deficiencies and such. But who knows, maybe another confirmation I'm having a girl (at this point I hope so, we have quite the little girl wardrobe thanks to all of her excited family members!).

Sahar, if I remember correctly when you take one of those online quizes to find out baby's gender, one of the questions has something to do with orange juice. I am sure you've already taken that quiz like a million times alraedy (I know I did :D ).

this is my 3rd pregnancy, my first two are boys and for both i had good pregnancy's
with no morning sickness, but this time im having real bad morning sickness that
lasts all day and can not stand any food smells at all!! every1 inc my family and nurses
say this time its a girl! im only 8 weeks so a long way from the scan, but i just cant wait
and hope i do have a gir!! :)

^ I have heard that one average girl pregnancies result in higher levels of HCG which can cause worse nausea/morning sickness.

yeah sounds like a girl! your experiences sound same as my sis!
I didn't even know I was pregnant till the 6 week....so no nausea till that point of time... and the nausea has decreased recently MashAllah ... i only get nauseous when I am hungry or when I go to the kitchen..how thoughtful is my baby ;)
... I have zero energy.... and I keep getting a pimple on my face every now and then.... :( ...never got a single pimple throughout my whole teenage years.... A gori friend of mine told me that its a girl if you get pimples...

my tummy was wide when i was pregnant and people could barely makeout that I was pregnant and I had a girl...........my inlaws were guessing a boy and boy they were wrong !
regarding the fact that girls causes more of nausea and vomiting when my mom was pregnant with me she never had a single vomit throughout her term no nausea nothing of that sort.........
i believe that every pregnancy is different ....

i havent had any sickness, just the odd dry retching in the mornings coz of acid or gas,
other than that i have a strong sense of smell and anything sweet is wayyy too sweet, i cant even eat choc biscuits lol! I am loving tangy cheese dorito's and savoury tortilla's, don't like orange juice at all....loving cold iced water! I love eggs and toast...not too keen on chocolate! I wonder what i'll have....soo cant wait for my second scan inshAllah!!

i am now 16.5 weeks alhamdulilah & have had the worse sickness, bad taste in the mouth, excessive saliva, tired, crave salty things only, put off chocolate, feel hungry all the tm, i have put on weight on my butt & face, my bump is starting to get big mashallah :) everyone keeps telling me that they think its a girl... but wen i went for my 1st scan the midwife asked me if i wanted to no- i couldnt blv she knew already! & although me and my husband sed we wanted to keep it a surprise (its our first) i sed tell me tell me!! she said it wasnt 100% but it looks like a boy! & the strangest thing is all along iv felt like im carrying a boy, obv im waiting for my 2nd scan which is in january but the wait is killing me..although i am enjoying this guessing game lol x

i strted week 19 just today.... i will get to know the sex hopefully in 1 1/2 weeks... i m sooooooo excited. if i had it my way i wud have asked long time back but i wanted to wait till 20 so its confirmed what gender it is. i honestly dun mind havin a boy or a girl but seein everyone prayin for me to have a boy is puttin intense pressure on me that i have strted prayin for a boy so ppl wud just leave me alone. ppl who have girls are more likely to b asked in 2 yrs or so ke dusra wala kab karrahi ho.. and i dun really want to hear this nonsense. i wanna have a baby boy and give a nice 4-5 yr gap atleast
i had no nausea or anything.. no cravings... but i broke out like HELL!!! never in my life was my face filled with 10-12 pimples! i like orange juice too but m not crazy abt it. i didnt use it have it before cus i didnt pay attention to it but now i m havin it so the baby can have vit c and other nutrition. it dus taste delicious.. but i m sure i wudnt b killin someone to have a glass of orange juice :D
guys pls pray for me... i hope its boy.. if not then girls are soooooooo pretty and nice to dress. i wud only b disappointed cus ppl wudnt leave me alone for long :( such is life.. its so unfair i swear.. y cant ppl b open minded abt the gender?

im the same, everyone has been saying 'Allah beta de' & yes i want a boy (not bcos of this asian backwardness) but simply cos we have loads of baby girls in the family! plus i no it would make everyone so much happier (sad i no) but if its a girl then alhamdulilah il b over the moon bcos its my first so any healthy baby will do!
dont stress about it too much, its not in our control, so just enjoy being pregnant x
Here in the US you can buy an over-the-counter gender test called IntelliGender; they sell is at Riteaid and a couple other drugstore chainrs. I think it's about 90% accurate. It accurately predicted a boy for me at 8 weeks pregnant. I was still dying to have my anatomical ultrasound, though, to confirm the results!
One thing they say about boy pregnancies that was true for me: I craved lots of salty and tangy/lemony foods, wasn't really interested at all in sweets.

mall.. you are not having a baby for people neither should you be concerned about the gap between children just because people will talk.. you girls are educated enough to ignore such comments and not stress yourself out praying for a boy.. hope and pray for a healthy baby inshaAllah :-)
people will talk nonethless.. if you have a boy now they would want you to have another baby to bring company for your only child, if you are blessed with a girl later, they would expect you to have a pair of each.. once you have two boys, and two girls these same people will talk about you having too many kids in this day and age! thats what people do-TALK!
