my friend had the Uppababy Vista for when her son was smaller and now that he's a toddler, she has the G-luxe.
she loves both! i've actually never heard anyone who owns an Uppababy complain about anything with their strollers, now that i think about it.
is the g-luxe suitable from birth, though?
went to Pottery Barn Kids yesterday--their toys are AMAZING!!!! instantly thought of my childhood and all the things I have:):) ......but gotta wait for that.
Are there any other nursing poncho's that you know of SGC????
Make sure you guys get pamper swaddlers. I think it comes in regular and swaddlers. I found swaddlers very good at absorbing. I have a boy and with boys.. umm they'll shoot just about anywhere their lil guy is pointing. Swaddlers solved my problem. You'll always find deals at babies r us on diapers if you buy them in bulk. And my baby never wore newborn diapers. I started with size 1 which was perfect.
girls I was just wondering when exactly did you start using strollers for your babies? I dun like strollers.. I have no idea why but even now when I fancy everything baby, I dun feel a thing for strollers and I have been actually avoiding buying one!!!
Is it a MUST?? is it handy? how often do you use it?
BR.. is this daVinci kalani??? how was the assembly? is it sturdy?
GtG, you will need something to cart around that car seat, probably. So for the Baby Jogger, we got the separate attachment for our Chicco carseat, and it would rest on that. Or you can get those Snap and Gos (which were about the same price as the attachment for our stroller), and then decide what kind of stroller you want later.
She didn't sit much in the stroller till she was 10-11 months. Before that, I would just use the attachment and keep her in her carseat (which she loved cuz it's cozy).
About your earlier question, I like the Baby Jogger. I'm happy with the purchase. It handles very easily and is not terribly heavy, which is nice. And it closes easily. It also has a nice size basket underneath, and easy to adjust and maneauver pieces. But it doesn't have any cushioning to cradle the baby, so for infants, it might require some extra support. Also you have to buy accessories separately (tray, rain hood, cup holder, etc), which may be the case with other strollers too.
http://www.earthmotherboutique.com/ are a good brand. my bff used one of theirs and loved it. mine is pretty much the same thing but a different brand. i got mine in black.

it probably depends on your lifestyle. i mean, if you're driving everywhere, then they'll probably be in the car seat anyway. like Sahar said, the only thing is carting that thing around and car seats with babies in them can be heavy! if you want the very basic, the Snap n' Go will do you just fine. you can always graduate her to a lightweight stroller like the Uppababy G-Luxe when they're older and out of the infant car seat. the toddler ones don't snap on to strollers anyway, so you've got up to 22lbs/usually 1 year.
or you could choose to baby wear with a carrier like the Beco, Boba, or Ergo if you're a walker but don't want a stroller. those are really handy for taking transit too but it just depends on how much weight you can carry on your chest/back.
i got a stroller because of the car seat functionality when we're out together, but also because i'll be using transit mostly as hubby will have the car during the day and i needed something with a basket that i could shove everything into and take on the street car/subway. i'm not the strongest person around lol so i'm not sure how long a carrier will last me and if i'll be wanting to go that route for a whole day out. mind you, i'm mostly going by my friend's experiences and watching them with their babies and strollers- they absolutely depend on them the first couple of years at least. even after baby starts walking, its always in the car for when they get tired and want to nap.
^ I found it much easier with the nursing pillow. It's not the end of the world of course; women have been nursing long before Boppy invented their pillow! But still, I found myself much more comfortable and at easy when I had the Boppy. A regular pillow does not hug close enough to your body to give the same kind of support to the baby.
If you are having the baby in summer, I would recommend Aden+Anais muslin swaddle cloth. They are pretty big and light enough . Later on they can be used as stroller covers etc.
As for diapers, check out Amazon.com where U can sign up for subscribe +save and Amazon mum to get 30% off . Not a bad deal.
I am thinking about something similar.. but I have a feeling I may not buy any stroller until afte rthe baby is here!!!
I was reading and comparing reviews for Maclaren Quest and Uppababy G luxe and looks like gluxe is better in light strollers! I am not sure how much will I be using it considering the baby is coming in winter and I dun have plans to take him/her out in snow.. we don’t have any public transportation so we travel by car everywhere and then for later I may need a stroller for unpaved roads, grass, etc since thats where we spend most of our summer and g luxe is definitely not an option for that.. probably the jeep stroller will do:cb:.. for now we will be buying the car seat only.. stroller will come later, if I really need/want it!!!
