i want to concieve baby …ALLAH knows wats better for me but …i heard now there is so many ways to concieve a boy and rumors too …so i m just curious wat is all mom knows abt methods …

The sperm can last 3-5 days in a woman's body. The egg lasts 12-24 hours once it is released from the ovary. Usually, it is more likely that fertilization will occur with sperm that are present before the egg releases, though it is certainly possible that an egg is fertilized by sperm that come within that 12-24 hour window.
There has been some research that suggests that the sperm carrying the X chromosome (resulting in females), are slightly slower swimmers but are able to last longer in the woman's reproductive system, whereas sperm carrying the Y chromosome tend to be faster, but also die more quickly.
Therefore women who are monitoring their ovulation and want to conceive a girl often have intercourse a couple days before ovulation and avoid intercourse close to ovulation. It's vice versa for people trying to conceive boys.
This method was developed by Dr. Landrum Shettles.
This method is of course not 100% effective. It just changes the odds from 50-50, to 60-40 of one gender over the other. In the end what matters is that your baby is healthy and happy -- and so are you. But I can understand what it feels like to want one first -- for me the ideal situation is to have a girl first.
Anyway, I recommend reading Toni Wechsler’s book, “Taking Charge of Your Fertility.” It's got a wealth of information many of us should but do not know.

I've heard all kinds of crazy things people try when wanting a child of a particular gender. And - lol - usually the ones who so vehemently want a particular gender end up getting the other! I think its God/Allahs way of reminding them who's the boss here!
If you want a baby boy...or a baby girl then adopt. Thats the only way to ensure that you'll get the gender you want. And if you feel that you'd not love a baby of the opposite gender as much as you'd love one of the gender you want, then you arent ready for parenthood. IMHO.

I second that!!! Its a gift from Allah and you should appreciate it wether its a girl or a boy - not be selective on gender!

I think there was another thread on this topic. I suggest following:
Wake up at 5 AM each Thursday & rub your tummy clockwise & then counterclockwise 5 times. Read namaz & sleep. Then on Friday evenings, at 11 pm, walk backwards about 50 steps, then hop on 1 leg 10 times and pray for a baby boy. Tried & tested it works.

omg............wat should i remark u all .....i was just asking ...do any one have any thing new to say ...alhumdullilah i m happily married and have two cute little girls ...and wanna to try try for third one ....its not i dont like girls ....i always love girls more that y i have 2 already .but common who else dotn want to have both blessings ............if someone has 2 boys already are trying for girl.........its just naturall thats how ALLAH made us ....and i mnot saying if i cant have one boy i ve to adot ...alhumdullilah i m perfectly fine .... no prob wat so ever .....so plz .... i mjust asking for ur kind advise if not than ...can any one delete this topic //////////// and thanks sahara for ur honest answer......i already reasearch on net ...now i just wanna ask how people think in our culture ////...and very good answers ...thanks to all

While some methods have been mentioned, at the end of the day, it is all in the will of Allah to bless you with a healthy boy or girl. Just pray for whatever you wish and inshaAllah you will be blessed with whatever Allah thinks right for you. Best of luck.

Dont want to get all religious but I think there is a Dua in Quran for that. The one by Hazrat Zakariya when he was asking for a boy (Yahya). I heard that the Dua is quite powerful. YOu should try that.

yeah.. i.have all the duas from quran ....and im praying too ........well tahnks .....i know im doing my best but ALLAH knows wat better for me ...........thats y im trying my best .....caz wat i have in my fate im gonna get it any way ...but at least i struggle for it ...so ive my finger crossed...

After I had my first 2 boys, I kind of wished for a girl also....a little thing to dress up in frilly pretty things etc etc. But instead, my best little buddy was born. He is so very beautiful, so physically perfect and such a delightful, happy personality mashallah. I dont know what I'd do without him and the sunshine he brings to my life. My heart breaks when I think about sending him to kindergarten in September, I will miss him SO very much.
So I think I was given an even better blessing than the one I was wishing for! God/Allah works in mysterious ways yeah?
Anyway, may your wish/prayer work out to be the best blessing ever.

ps, I apologize for my remarks earlier...sometimes people want a boy so much that they'd not love love a girl child (or vice versa) and that kind of heats people up. The additional details you provided made it more clear and I'm sorry that I got kinda mean about it!
The thing about male sperms swimming faster but not living as long has been proven. So by following that plan may give you a slight increase in your chances of conceiving a boy. The reverse didnt work for me, I conceived a girl twice and both times it resulted in miscarriage. Not that this will happen with you, but I think we end up with whatever blessings God/Allah determines are best for us.
