Re: Baby boy names
What’s the difference in pronuniciation? The one i mean is Ha-san or Has-san
Re: Baby boy names
there are two different names with two different spellings and meanings. Hassaaaan has a tashdeed on Harf-e-seen. i dunno if you can read urdu…if you can, then the difference is so obvious.** in the case otherwise, ask anyone who can read urdu to read these two words…u’ll see the diference then. **
Re: Baby boy names
one is hass-an
and the other is hass-aaan or hiss-aaan as some woudl call it
Re: Baby boy names
Vajdaan or Vijdan (however you want to spell it) is a beautiful name for a boy! I havent seen/met anybody with this name, but I can imagine someone with a strong personality and good looks at the same time hehe! ![]()
Re: Baby boy names
Sarim is a nice name
Re: Baby boy names
Nice! What does it mean?
Re: Baby boy names
صارم**= sharp sword, brave man/worrier**
Re: Baby boy names
That’s strong! Do you know what Vajdaan means? I do have a vague idea but I can never put it down in one word. What would be the proper english translation of the word? ![]()
Re: Baby boy names
**WIJDAAN is the correct pronounciation…this word comes from the base word “wijd” … it has a literal meaning as well as religious implied meaning. the literal meaning is “to know” OR “to power to know and/or investigate”
wijdaan also means = instinct, intuition
…the wijdaan in religious terms means someone who gets trance during a sufi mystic spells gathering called Haal.**
Re: Baby boy names
Saahir is nice. I’ve also heard of Saarib and Saarim too.
Re: Baby boy names
Saarib OR Saarif? never heard of Saarib.
Re: Baby boy names
Got it now :k:. Are they often spelt the same way?
Re: Baby boy names
in urdu of course both names are spelt the same ways always but in roman urdu you may find a lil variation. the spellings i used is according to the roman urdu transliteration scheme.
Re: Baby boy names
i really like the name Qasim too.
Re: Baby boy names
my cousin’s cousin named her son Saarib. its legit. not sure of the meaning though but they wouldn’t opt for a non-muslim name so i’m sure it has a positive meaning. i’ve never heard of Saarif…
