nice names indeed...but, did you mean Hasan **حسن**** [r.a. grand-son of Prophet MoHammad (saws)] or HASSAAN *حسّان?*

Re: Baby boy names

Re: Baby boy names

oh really? i've a cousin whose name is ShamHaan ... it means **'attaar**** [the one who extracts flower nectar to make 'atr]**

Re: Baby boy names

Rayyid
Rohan
Aryaan

Re: Baby boy names

**i hope you will NOT mind what i am gonna say. there are some Muslim names that are Hindu names as well. Rohan is one of them. there are also names, like Maaya, Kanwal, Kiran etc...now, if someone has a common last names like Patel...then, confusion arises...suppose some Muslim man's name is Rohan Patel...now, you won't be able to tell whether he is a Muslim or a Hindu. i'm NOT saying that these names are illegal or invalid for a Muslim to have but i would rather not give such names to my children...just to avoid resemblance and confusion.

you may NOT agree but i spoke my mind ... sorry if i offended anyone with my comments.**

Re: Baby boy names

i agree with you but if the surname is khan or muhammad then i think it doesnt really matter..isnt it

Re: Baby boy names

how do you pronouns rayyid?

is it ray- yid or ray-yad

Re: Baby boy names

Thanks all for suggestions! Please keep them coming in... So far i like mikyle and aariz!I like ayaan rayyan etc but know ppl who have those names so want to opt for aomthing different!

Re: Baby boy names

its raa-yid.

Re: Baby boy names

not offended at all, howver, the hindu name is pronounced rohan like ro-hun, if i'm not mistaken, and this is rohaan. i should have spelt it with two a's, sorry. my very sensible and religious cousin has named her son this and i'm positive she wouldn't have if there was no clear islamic meaning and association with the name.

Re: Baby boy names

Isnt it ruhaan? My mumani named her kid this and her husband is quite religious…it is a muslim name …forgot the meaning though.Aariz

Re: Baby boy names

^ since hearing your Aariz's name, I'm just waiting to pop another little fella so i can name him that! i LOVES me the name (and the kid who's named it is pretty darn cute too! :))

my cousin pronouces it rohaan, like the riders of rohaan from lotr? which brings me to sigh aragorn. lol

Re: Baby boy names

Lol @ aragornAww…thanu  i can easily say i had everything to do with it :cb:
