Russell spotted this couple early on and asked where they were from. To which they responded clearly. Russell acted as if the guy said, “India” then the guy corrected Russell which got Russell pissed. Then Russell scolded the guy for the correction saying he understands the difference. The guy knew if he tried to start a verbal argument, he’ll be immediately kicked out. So he got back to Russell with terse random statements like, ‘yeah yeah’, ‘good try’, ‘no’, etc. whenever Russell tried to insult him.
The comedian then made fun of this guy’s shoes and job. Also said that Pakistanis get drunk and become mentally unstable so India kicked them out for good at the time of partition.
Dissing was in two parts. In the beginning Russell only targeted the guy in hopes of driving a wedge between the couple. But the girl remained unfazed, so he started dissing both of them. Making sounds of farts, saying they must’ve met due to some weird incident and how they must be ef-ing each other.
People wondered why the couple didn’t just leave. I think the situation was such that if they had left, it would’ve seemed conceding defeat and Russell would’ve had a victory lap during the remaining time. Anyway, everyone had their own opinion.
