MANSEHRA, Dec 7: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl leader Syed Haydaitullah Shah has said that Azam Khan Swati resigned from party`s basic membership and parliament after party turned down his request for Senate ticket for the next term.
“Mr Swati staged the drama of resignation when party did not assure him of the Senate ticket in the next elections. But people are mature enough to understand the open secret,” he told journalists here on Wednesday.
Mr Shah said that term of Mr Swati as a senator was going to complete in March next year. He said that Mr Swati was served with two notices when he bypassed his limits and attempted to challenge the party constitution and ideology.

\Imran getting Taliban supporters like Ejaz Chaudhry and Azam Swati does show what direction Imran wants the country to go. This scenario does bode well for people with soft corner for Taliban, but it should be eye opener for people who consider Imran a "liberal".
Imran's history and statements show that he is not liberal at all. And getting help from Taliban supporters show that he is going to tolerate Talibanic extremism in the country when he gets power.

I don’t know why we need to talk to Taliban when they are already weakened and splintered in groups. At this point, talking to any Taliban group will only embolden and strengthen them. If this is what Imran and his supporters need then it is another story. Otherwise there is no need to talk to them at this moment.
Besides, since Taliban in Pak are broken in groups, I wonder which group will Imran talk to? Remember the “father of Taliban”, Khalid Khwaja, who thought he was Taliban’s man but was killed by one of Talibanic groups itself.

If encouraging Talibanic extremism, blowing up Pakistani govt buildings, girls schools, police stations, and sectarian violence all over the country is "not too bad of a choice" then you must go along with PTI.

Just "talking to Taliban" does not make a party Taliban supporter. It is the other indications, like accepting extremists like Azam Swati in the party, and many others, which show a party's position.
You know this very well. I did not have to say this. Arguing for the sake of arguing is a waste of time. At least for me. I don't want to play these games.
