Re: azaarbandi rishtay........

Re: azaarbandi rishtay........

Never heard of it :)

Re: azaarbandi rishtay........

I think it has to do with the fact that you are related to them through your wife with whom you **have intimate relations.

Azarband** keeps the privates private by holding up the bottoms.

Re: azaarbandi rishtay…

So what do we call the girls’ inlaws? :cb:

Re: azaarbandi rishtay........

Every one wears elastic thesedays - AzaarBand or kamarband are tales of gone days :)

Re: azaarbandi rishtay........

^ hehehe..It just struck me that nowadays there is a trend to forgo the azarband and attach "hooks" to shalwars. Does that make azarbandi rishtay = hookers?

Re: azaarbandi rishtay........

the word azarband is compound ...

azar+band

'band' has two meanings:

a) to tie up, closed, prevented
b) to connect

azarband = item that ties up the clothes at the privates, prevents the privates from exposure
azarbandi rishtey = those relatives who are connected through the spouse - literally in-laws

Re: azaarbandi rishtay........

So in a nutshell a spouse is an azaar :D

Re: azaarbandi rishtay…

:bummer:

No … spouse has access … to the najis regions … and najis could be linked somehow to azaar ? I’m trying to look at it from an etymological point of view.

I was trying to find the meaning of azar

I got

a) A disease
b) Cheeks

If it be cheeks then it makes a lot of comedy sense … invoking Pepsi Ki Botal’s style … Bum Chums

Re: azaarbandi rishtay........

and why would they be najis - if you are keeping them clean ?
