Not trying to make you more miserable but you might want to consider spending some time with him in Pakistan since it takes more time for a male to be approved for a US visa than a female since there is admin processing after the interview. In some instances it could take up to a year after the interview.

Any idea how long does it take to pass the admin process and why they don’t do it during background check? Admin process is part of background check, right?
