Re: Avatar

leeooo :D

Re: 'Avatar' Crashes Friday Box Office with $27 Million

long but good movie...

Can they do this with live relay? Watching cricket, football or tennis like this would be awesome.

I will be taking my children to watch it, they're huge Avatar fans. They watch and rewatch the cartoons and even made me watch a few with them. I have to admit, the cartoons were funny and not bad at all. Perhaps the movie will be nice.

When I was growing up, E.T. was the movie each child wanted to watch. Listening to children now, it seems nowadays Avatar movie is becoming a must watch film for them.

Re: Avatar

I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!! BEST MOVIE OF 2009.... everything was freaking perfect about it.. loveddddddddddddd

I got it all wrong! Though Avatar is the name of the animation, and they do make that into a movie, that movies name is “The Last Airbender” and that’s the one I meant. :smack:

The movie being discussed in this thread has the name of that animation, but is a totally different story. It’s got nothing to do with that animation. I just found out when my children showed me the trailers.

Re: Avatar

i might be one of the few people that didn't love this movie.. oops. the storyline was okay but i'm not a huge sci-fi fan. the one thing i did love about this movie was the use of special effects.. amazing.

Going tomorrow!

Imax theatre...

so far reading from peoples post. It seems to be good.

Re: Avatar

WOW!! :hayaa:

Pandora’s beautiful landscapes, the action, and the animation just goes beyond your expectations. & Great story!

if you can, watch it in 3D its one of a kind visual experience.Amazingg :k:

Re: Avatar

saw it. the story was meh... very predictable. but the graphics were outstanding. the last 30-45 minutes of the film are a visual feast and absolutely stunning.

overall, it's well worth seeing especially in Imax 3d, etc. but it's certainly not in the league of other Cameron classics like T1, T2, Aliens, etc.

Re: Avatar

Saw it and it was so INTENSE but fantastic nonetheless! I haven't seen a lot of James Cameron movies so for me this was his BEST work by far! The message that nature will come to its own defense if man tries to destroy it (among other messages) was just phenomenal :)
Apart from the cliches a great movie and a visual treat for sure.

Now let's wait for a Pandora ride at Disney or Six Flags :D hehe

IMO it actually makes some very strong statements about humans and our society

Re: Avatar

Visually beyond words. Very beautiful ... stunning graphics.

Storyline was good. Took themes from things going on around us (i.e. Iraq/Palestine). Just turned it into a sci fi plot.

I'm surprised people took their kids to see this movie. There was quite a bit of swearing in it.

Re: Avatar

I watched in 3D Absolutely awesome!!!:k:… almost reminded me of Aliens in a wierd kinda way:bummer:…

Re: Avatar

Good special effects but too long!
