Weather, cold nothwithstanding, Jawans soldier on
Search and rescue operations at Gayari continue round the clock despite extreme odds.
According to a press release issued here by ISPR on Monday, the weather remained very harsh and posed serious challenges to the men and machines working at the avalanche site.
“The rescue work is being carried out at full speed with sufficient number of plant equipment. The exasperating work at the tunnel being dug in the compact snow of avalanche, needed to access a suspected structure to find survivors, has made good progress by using explosives. A team of German and Swiss rescuers is also rendering useful help in conforming already available data to locate the survivors,” read the statement.

Are the soldiers inside buildings that are buried under the avalanche ?
What was the preparation to cope with such perils as they were at the foot of the huge mountains with possibilities of avalanches ?
The lame media waley never do any in-depth expose of the situation. Just useless and superficial coverage.
Yesterday I heard for the 2nd time on PTV news that the President's visit was postponed because of bad weather.
Of all the people why does his trip keep getting postponed. Coward and insincere nincompoop.

^^ Media has not got access to the venue yet. yesterday their visit was scheduled by army but due to bad weather it got cancelled.
so basically they are reporting news they get from ISPR.

i was wondering about few things no body provided info about yet.
this place was a base camp right? so does it mean that soldiers are still present at the front up in the mountains?
if yes then are their supplies still intact are they are in limbo?

make dua as much you guys can... Only a miracle can save our soldiers lives! ... These rescue efforts are taking longer than one had imagined, and the biggest obstacle is the weather, weather conditions are not improving, hence they keeps on hampering the rescue efforts.
I was reading the updates, and there are chances due to harsh weather, there might be more snow slides and unfortunetly, toxic gases have also built up in the tunnels that they have dug!

I think the chances of them surviving underneath all that rock and ice and now the toxic gases as well , is pretty slim, almost next to none :( Allah mian reham karen bi ..
The relief efforts are just getting prolonged due to lack of strategy and pre-empted planning ...

Actually someone on facebook has a friend who is currently in Gayari serving the rescue teams .. They have found signs of life .. probably upto 25 men ... but its still looking very difficult to get there .. so lets hope and pray that the project moves quickly and we get a better picture of the people down there ... Inshallah lets hope for the best ..

I can't tell the source but i heard the Battalion HQ had underground high pressure blast doors with Oxygen generation plant. A miracle can happen.

as for their families, I read Kiyani has given away cheques for Rs 500,000 to each family and also they will provide education and financial help to affected families! ...
